I've seen a lot of positive feedback about the Rad Res Pkway and acutally have it booked for October. I'm just a little worried because our last few trips we've always stayed on property. I know it's not going to be the same as the BCV where we stayed last fall, but unfortunatley we can't go there every year!! Our son will be 2 1/2 this year so we are planning on going to Univeral (Barney) for 1 day and maybe Sea World (He loves fish & dolphins). Because this trip wasn't going to be comletely WDW as in the past and to save a little $$$ (baby #2 coming in Dec) we went for off-property. Do you think we will be very disappointed being so used to deluxe resorts? My DH heard someone refer to the Rad Res Pkway as "cheap" and is now thinking we're making a huge mistake.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I have not been there, but my neighbors were there recently and enjoyed it. They are not cheap hotel type people either. They said it would not be a resort they chose for a vacation for just the two of them, but for the whole family on a trip to Orlando, they enjoyed it. I don't know how much that helps you.

We stayed at the BCV last fall also. We will be staying there again this October, but we will be also be staying at the Radisson Resort Parkway for a couple nights before we stay at disney. We want to visit Seaworld and Universal, and the Radisson Resort Prkwy offers included transportation to those parks. I've read good things about it, so I'm sure we will all enjoy our stay there!

Our friends stayed there and enjoyed it. Have you checked on special rates for on property? I would always check for specials before going off property. The Barney show is great I hope your little one enjoys it!!

I stayed at the Radisson Resort Parkway in 2002, and liked it. It was a good value, with a nice pool area, and convenient access to I-4 and the attractions. I had a rental car, and it usually was only about 10 minutes to any Disney Park.

We also stayed at RRP a couple of years ago. It's a beautiful resort with large, clean rooms, the pool and grounds are beautiful and the staff very helpful. Our only disappointmet was the shuttle service. After years of staying on disney property the convenience of the shuttle was far from satisfactory, but if you have a car it will be wonderful.

Does anyone remember how often the shuttle to WDW parks ran....was it hourly or only several times a day?
Thanks in advance!

We just booked a six night stay in early December. This will be my first time in WDW and I will be travelling with my 4 year old and my mother. Can someone let me know if this would be a good choice for my stay, knowing that I will be using shuttles to/from the parks. Thanks.

Hi cafelattemom!
Have you called/e-mailed the hotel to ask them if they could fax or e-mail the schedule to you? We have done this with a couple of hotels, and it helps a little to narrow down the search. I am in the same boat, as I need a hotel with good shuttle service.

I have stayed there. It is a very nice place with great pools and a nice garden section. The rooms are a bit small and sometimes the place gets noisey with a lot of kids staying there as part of a team/band event but you'll be happy with it. Great location as well.

Just got back from a stay (Thanks to goldpoints!) and thought it was really nice. Be sure to put your toe in the "heated" pool before jumping in as it was NOT heated. Otherwise...it was a nice stay. (Can't comment on shuttles as we didn't use them)
