We are in the process of closing on our purchase of a resale (this week) and would like to book Hilton Head in the beginning of August. Can anyone tell us whether there is usually availability during the first week of August as we have not been assigned an ID number of DVC's system and they won't give us information without an ID number? Thanks in advance for your reply.

July through mid-August is considered "prime time" for Hilton Head. I'm not saying that you have no chance of securing a reservation, but many events would have to break your way for that to occur. Otherwise, congratulations, and good luck with your planning.:cool:

If you have to wait list, do it day by day. We wanted a week in July and got all days requested this way.

We just got back and really are ready to go back again.
