How long does it take to drive from the Boardwalk to the Wilderness Lodge?

if you go the way the buses do through the main gate - it can vary depending upon how many cars are trying to get into the MK - if you go the back roads - the traffic lights can be a problem - maybe 10 to 20 minutes. that is parking lot to parking lot - now add other 20 minutes to get to your car from each location. You can probably do it in less - but I try to make sure I get to where I want on time.

About 10 minutes drive time, provided that you don't make any wrong turns.

From the Boardwalk parking lot, you'll turn right on Epcot Resort Blvd and then right immediately again at Buena Vista Drive. You'll pass Fantasia Gardens at the next intersection and then veer to the right to take the onramp to World Drive. (Follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom Theme Park.)

Take World drive about 3 miles to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom area. Be sure to stay to the far RIGHT side lane at the toll plaza and then inform the gate attendant that you are traveling to the Wilderness Lodge. After going through the plaza, take the exit to the right and follow the single-lane two-way road past Vista drive to the next intersection. Turn right at Timberline/SevenSeas Drive. The Lodge entrance is just a few hundred yards up the road.

So, if we were taking a taxi, do you think we could make it in 30 minutes?

That would be plenty of time for a taxi to get you there. A taxi will take you door-to-door, so you won't even have to deal with parking or the walk to/from the parking lot. I'd say you can alot just 15-20 minutes to make the transit via taxi.
