AS discounts in January yet?

Has anyone seen (or better yet gotten) any $49 discounts to the AS resorts yet? I've seen AP specials ($66) though 1/25 but nothing through January. If you got a $49 or $59 AS room, did you have a code or just talked your way into it. I haven't seen anything yet at mousesavers past December. I'd like to book now so I can get the room I want, but still want to take advantage of any deals.

Also, how many can you sleep in a Moderate? Can you put 5 in a moderate? We have three kids that really can sleep together in a double bed (skinny little buggers!) but AS won't let us put 5 in a AS. If my parents really are going then we can stay in two rooms at AS with one of our kids in their room, no problem. But if they can't go then we are having to look at moving up in resorts. Sure wish they would have AS rooms that accomodate slightly larger families without making us get two rooms.

I can't help with discounts in January, but I can answer your question about a moderate that accommodates 5. You didn't mention the ages of your children, but if one is less than 9 years old, you can all occupy one room at Port Orleans Riverside. Some of the rooms in the Bayou section of the resort are furnished with two double beds and a trundle bed that will fit a child under the age of 9. One room at this resort is usually less expensive than 2 rooms at the All-Star Resorts.

Thank, Tammie. Actually all the kids will be 9 or under when we go. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that my parents will be able to go with us and we can stay at ASMu/o I've got my eyes peeled and seem to be checking Mary's site way to much these days LOL!! Hopefully Thursday my folks will know for sure if they can go with us and I'll go ahead and call in a ressie even if I can't get a "good" deal. Still should be able to get something with my AP.
