We're thinking about visiting Seaworld in early 2005 for the first time. We're staying at Disney for five nights and I'm thinking about staying nearer to Seaworld for the last two. When you all go to Seaworld, where do you stay? Are any hotels within walking distance? We have three small kids, and I think they would love Seaworld (me too!). Thanks!

I was going to do a cruise in January and stay a night or two at a hotel near SeaWorld afterwards. I haven't stayed at any of these, but supposedly, they are all within walking distance.

Renaissance Orlando Resort At SeaWorld
Distance to SeaWorld = Across the Street

Hilton Garden Inn Orlando SeaWorld International Center
Distance to SeaWorld = 3 Blocks

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Sea World
Distance to SeaWorld = 0.5 miles

Hawthorn Suites - Orlando at Seaworld
Distance to SeaWorld = 0.5 miles

Residence Inn By Marriott Orlando SeaWorld
Distance to Sea World = 0.5 miles

If you go to http://terraserver.microsoft.com/address.aspx
you can type in the address of a place and see an aerial photo of the area. I find it useful as maps sometime make things look closer than they really are.

Here's the link straight to the photo of the SeaWorld area. There are no hotels named on it, but you can use a map of hotels on expedia.com to get an idea of where hotels are located. If you go to expedia.com to search for "hotel only" in Orlando, there should be a drop down menu for you to choose the area and Intl Drive/SeaWorld is one of those options. Any questions, let me know.

Renaissance Orlando Resort At SeaWorld...It is exactly where it says...right across the street...and its a street thats easy to cross. You then have to walk across the parking lot.

I really enjoyed staying there as it was really quiet. There are very few tourists staying there as most of their guests are business people.

The hotel was always clean as was the room. The safe in the room we had was broken when we arrived...I couldnt believe how quick they were to replace it...there was a service man and a manager on the floor of my room sorting it out for us!!!

Any questions about this hotel then just let me know...i'll try my best to answer.

I've been looking at the Renaissance and the prices seem a bit high. What did you get for a rate? Were you able to get a discount for it? If not, was it worth the extra $$$?

Oh one more question - how was the pool?

I live in England and got a last minute booking...cant remember what my rate was....it included the flight!
The pool is large..has alot of sun loungers. It also has a small childrens pool and a jacuzzi- if i remember right.

Another good place to check for hotels in the Sea World/Orlando area is www.Hotel Kingdom.com. A lot of the Hotels have free shuttles to the various attractions.
