Okay, lemme hear your stories about Mickey and Friends at Ice Cream Social.
Is it worth it? I've read mixed reviews, especially regarding the 30-minute window.
Is it really enough time for Mickey and Friends to be distributed amongst all visitors?
TIA

When we went last year for the first time (after reading about it on the DIS) we had the best character interaction ever. We always do several breakfasts and this was the most fun we have had. We were there about an hour with no one asking us to leave and Pluto, Chip, Dale and Mickey picked on eachother and us the whole time. We have never laughed so hard. We had 3 tables of 4 right next to eachother. It was on our first full day there and we will be doing it again in 7days...yeah!

The last time we were there, the characters came by our table several times ... I think we had a PS for 3:10 and the place was practically empty. There was maybe one or two tables there for lunch and another three or four there for the ice cream social. I thought it was a nice afternoon break ... good way to get out of the heat :)

When we went in May at around 3:30pm the place was practically empty. We had Mickey come by twice, chip & dale 3 times, and Pluto 2 times.
Talk about overload for the kids. The first time was great, they got autographs, joked around a bit. The second and third time, the kids wanted to dig into their ice cream and couldn't care less about the characters! LOL! So it was Mom and Dad who ended up goofin' around with Mickey and the gang.:teeth:

You just basically eat ice cream and you'll get to meet Mickey and Friends. It's at Garden Grill at Epcot and it costs aounr US$7 per person.
Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
Thanks.

We did it for the first time in May and really enjoyed it. Chip, Dale & Mickey stopped by our table a couple times.
When Mickey first stopped, I wanted a picture of him and DD (17), after I took the picture he motioned for me to give the camera to DD and came and stodd behind DH & I for a picture.
We have been to Garden Grill before for dinner, but had never done this. DH even enjoyed it and he is particular about some things, but enjoyed the ice cream and everything.

My family has done the Ice Cream Social in Sept. Crowds were low, so we had pretty much the whole place to ourselves.
The characters came by more than once, and gave my kids plenty of attention.

Any idea what the crowd would be like in early December? (first two weeks)
