Vistana-why can't they tell me my room?

Hi,

We have a reservation at the Vistana Resort from today thru next Sunday; however, I mentioned to them i will not be arriving until Wed...i emailed them last nite asking if they could let me know what my room is and they stated they could not. I am curious where we will be staying - would you pursue? I guess maybe it does not matter but if we were situated in a very bad spot, I suppose I might want to see if anything else was available.

I can understand them not telling you your room yesterday, but if you were to check in today & have paid for today (looks like that from your post), they should tell you today...your room is paid for regardless if you check in today or Wed...it is your room from today on & therefore you should have your room number. I would call again

definitely call again - the Vistana is not surpose to rent out a room reserved for you - no matter when you arrive....

ask again - if they refuse to say - ask to speak to the manager and ask him why????

With a place the size of Vistana and for rental customers, I expect they do not assign you a room until you check in...and then the assignment is based on a list of rooms available at that time......this could be different if you're doing an exchange thru RCI or II. They might be able to tell you what section you'll be in.
Based on our stays at Vistana, I don't think you can get a bad spot....good luck :smooth:

well, i ended up calling them tonite -- a few days ago, via email, i used diamond lane and made my requests (cascades or lakes based on what i read here) - they em me back stating those areas are not available....tonite, to my surprise, i was told we have a second floor room in Cascades...

also was able to get them to forward the list of activities to me ahead of time which was nice.
