DH called FW to inquire about a reservation anytime from Dec 21st to several days after Christmas, and was to no. We were hoping to spend 3 or 4 nights at WDW, and 4 or 5 nights at UO to enjoy the Christmas activities. Because WDW is extremely pet unfriendly, FW is unfortunately our only option there. :( Since it doesn't seem that this Christmas dream is going to happen, I am scrambling to find another destination similar to Orlando, where the Christmas activities don't end until New Years. Any suggestions on either getting a FW site or another similar Christmas destination? Please help, as I'm very disappointed that it doesn't look like our Holiday plans are going to happen. :(
Thanks in advance!

Have you considered staying at one of the campgrounds in Kississmee. We have frequently stayed at Tropical Palms, with pets, and find it to be a great campground. In fact, we are thinking about cancelling our FW reservations for October and December because there were NO codes available and it's just too pricey. :wave2: :wave2:

I would keep trying to get a site. 2 years ago we decided in October to spend Christmas at FW. I just called every day (usually in by 8am) and we eventually got a preferred site.

I have 3 separate reservations for December going from the 16th - 31st and also January 1st - 8th. Now it looks like our plans have changed, but I'm holding onto them "just in case". As of right now we're only planning to be there from the 16th - 23rd. If I cancel the rest of the days, I'll let you know in advance so you can call and get them, if you want. It's for a partial hookup (all that was available when I called last December!)

Keep checking, we had problems this year for Easter. We were able to find a lot of the days on line. We would pull them up online and then call and say I see you have campsites available. Most of the time they would book them for us. Other times we booked on line. The only thing with booking on line is you cannot call and modify them. Eventually we pieced together 2 weeks. The closer you get the more people cancel as well.

Praise2Him,
Thanks for the offer, but we could have gotten a partial hook-up when we called. The problem is that we have a 29 foot RV, and a partial hook-up isn't an option. By the way, I love your screen name. I praise him everyday. :)

We4Mickey,
Where did you check on-line. I haven't had any luck anywhere, but will definitely keep looking, if you'd be willing to point me in the right direction. My DH called again today with no luck, but I've already forewarned him to be prepared to call everyday. ;)

Thanks for everyone's input, and anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd really love to make this happen. Thanks again!
