We're going to be at Universal on October 1st. I know that is the first day of the Halloween Horror Nights. We probably won't spring for the HHN tickets, but are hoping that some of the Halloween Decorations/Effects are up during the day??

Are they??

Thanks,

Carol

No, they're all put away by day. There might be minor things such as the PoE set up, but the majority of the HHN props are away or hidden by day.

arol, if there isn't anything besides the cost of the ticket holding you back, I would definately go to HHN. You can always order a Stay & Scream pass for $32 each. From what I've heard, opening weekend is the least crowded and you'll regret not going.

is this true. I am buying a one day pass and i was told that if you buy the halloween pass, you can go to both parks at night.

what rides will be open. This will be my first time. I always just went to disney.
But i have to try this out.

Yes, HHN will be in both parks, BUT only certain portions of each park will be open. So, you won't be able to ride everything.

If you go to the HHN website and check out the event map it will show you the portions of the park used for HHN. It hasn't been made official which rides will be open, but it looks as if Marvel Super Hero Island and Suess landing are the only portions of IOA to be used, and only the New York, San Fransisco, and Production Central areas of Universal are going to be used.

I'd assume most attractions in these areas will be open. But if it is like last year, a lot of the rides had long lines. And with all the haunted houses (7!) this year, I doubt if there would be enough time to do it all.
