Can anybody help me with these questions? We've never been to Universal and we are so excited! :hyper:
...But we don't know anything!

1. I purchased an AP online which gives me the confirmation number to exchange for my AP at the park. Does this mean I can show that printout to get the free parking perk before I get my AP card, or do I have to pay to park on that first day?

2. Between AAA and AP, which one gets a better discount on meals and park shopping?

Thanks for your help!

You should be fine to use that print out for parking, I did the same thing the day I got my "offical" AP.

Not sure about the discounts, I always used the AP card, I'm interested myself as to which is better.

You also get 20% off with the AP card in stores. I think the AAA discount is 10%

Was going to post new thread, but maybe someone on this thread can answer my questions.

1. If I buy my AP now the yr. does not start until I activate, correct?

2. Do you think the prices will go up anytime soon? Need for early December.

3. If I buy 1 AP for $169 for the discounts, would it be ok to buy DH the $109? According to the 2004 blackout dates we would be ok, do they change yearly?

4. When is the best time to get AP rate at hotels, this is the cheapest correct?

Thank you so much for any help, I have been to Universal before, stayed in all their hotels, just never had AP's, this year we will be making 2 trips, off site in December and on site in August, and thought this would be the best bargain.

I think I can help a little:

1.) That's correct unless it's bought on a special deal where it specifically says "must be redeemed by xxx" Right now I don't believe anything like that is goin on.

2.) Prices have been the same for 2 years, no info on increase. I doubt it but call to be sure.

3.) Sounds like a plan!

4.) ASAP for this year, it is generally the cheapest way to go. I got RPR in Oct at $129.
