I'm so new to this...sorry for the stupid questions...but what's the difference between these two? Both occasionally come up on the gov. employees site for $249 for the week. Are they the same? Is one better? Would you stay there?

thanks,
dj

according to the www.afvclub.com site, the villas are smaller. I have a 2BR condo on hold at Summer Bay through that site right now...I'm still looking for any info I can get my hands on! The reviews at www.tripadvisor.com are mixed, but I think that's mainly due to a timeshare deal gone bad.

The property is a little farterh out from WDW than some of the others.

thanks. i'll look at that site. hadn't thought to check it because we're just gov, not military.

if you get a chance, please post back after you stay to let us know how it was. (I thought you posted elsewhere that you were leaning toward silver lakes?)

I don't think there's any real difference in the two sites. My husband is DoD, so we are eligible for both ;) it looks to me that the search and layout is exactly the same.

honestly, I have made no decision as to where we are going to stay...I keep cancelling and rebooking the hold that I have...one of these times it is going to catch up with me, LOL! I am trying to decide between Silver Lake, Summer Bay, and Cypress Point Grandvillas...wishing someone would make the decision for me :teeth:

I did a search and here's a thread that discusses this. I'd be happy to answer additional questions though!

melynny--

I have a couple of questions :)

**are the floors carpeted or mainly tile?

**did you use any of the lake facilities? the trampoline, climbing wall, etc. if you did, what age are they geared for?

**is there a price for these activities?

thanks!

I believe that the villas had tile floors in the kitchen living room area( actually a big rectangle) and capet in the bedrooms. In the larger condos, I think they are mostly tile, but not sure.

**did you use any of the lake facilities? the trampoline, climbing wall, etc. if you did, what age are they geared for? these items were not there when I stayed there. We did use the pool and pool bar.

**is there a price for these activities? I 'd call them and ask, whenever I called, t hey were very accomodating and answered all my questions.

Sorry I could not be more help.
