I'm in the beginning stages of planning a HS Band trip to WDW and am wondering how do you get a LOT of kids and chaperones from the airport to one of the All Stars??
Any suggestions would be so appreciated!!:D

Hi
100 kids??:earseek: Oh my!! Just kiddin- you can try some of the town car/limo rentals agencies- some of them rent busses. I have been browsing around on their websites and remember seeing some. I don't remember how much they were though- if I see it again, I will be sure to let you know!!
Good luck!

Chartering buses would probably be the cheapest option...

Do a search, Tyler listed a handful of charter bus companies that groups frequently use.
You can call Mears but I think they are expensive.

You will need two 45 foot coaches (typically 55/57pax) for that many people.
Here are some companies in the area that might be able to help. I don't really know anything about these companies, but they seem to run better maintained buses than other companies. I believe each of these websites provides methods of getting an online quote.

I checked FL Tours' site and they do have shuttle buses available. Not the 55-57 person coaches Tyler mentioned but they look more like the shuttle buses used by rental car companies for their off-terminal locations. They seat 22-35 people (you would need 4 of them to be comfortable) and you can see FL Tours' fleet here. (http://www.fltours.com/Fleet.htm)

I just got back a month ago from a trip with 86 (10chaperones and 76teens). We came in on different flights, so we ended up using Happy Limo. They did an AWESOME job of dealing with the youth. Our cost ended up being approx. $20 per person when it was all said and done. That did include a one hour grocery stop, which I highly recommend. I've done that before with family on a trip, so I taught kids about what things to get. They really appreciated the grocery stop as it saved them tons over the course of our three days at the parks.
I've also traveled before with large groups of teens and I've done the large motor coach rentals (the drivers get ticked if you call them bus drivers. They're motor coach operators). That was a pretty affordable way to transport a large group. It will work best if you've got the whole group coming in at the same time. You may want to see if they'll do a grocery stop for you too, but it may take longer than an hour if you've got everyone arriving at the same time. Then again, we did a grocery stop with all 86 arriving at the same time and were in and out of the store in 45 minutes. I had a whistle along and blew it when it was time to go and everyone stormed for the checkouts.
Email me directly if you want to talk more about this trip. I've got a wealth of experience that's still fresh in my brain from our late July trip.

Oh yeah!!!! How could I forget. Happy Limo decided it was easiest to transport us in their biggest vehicles, so the sent us a stretch limo, a stretch Excursion SUV, and their stretch Hummer (the longest in Orlando) for many of the trips. They kids FREAKED. They loved it. I loved it. I had originally negotiated for Happy Limo to throw in one ride in the Hummer since we were throwing them so much business, but it ended up being 4 Hummer trips, 3 Excursion trips and a couple of stretch limo rides. That was well worth the price we paid, and more!!!

Hi, Spiderman. Sounds like Happy Limo did an awesome job for your large group. Hopefully the OP will check them out. You had lots of great advice and hints for him/her. :D
