National car rental -- what's the procedure?

It's been a LONG time since I rented a car, and never at MCO. What's the procedure with National? I know I go to the counter in the terminal. But what then? Walk to the rental area in the garage with kids and luggage? Or do they bring the vehicle to me? Or..?

After filling out your paperwork at the counter, you'll walk across to the garage and pick out a vehicle in your class - full sized - compact - whatever. Stop at the exit booth and turn in a slip and you're on your way. Sometimes there is an additional attendant there to help you in the garage/car row area...sometime not, I guess it depends on how many ressies they have and how busy they are with returns. Since DC gets free Emerald Aisle membership, I've found out how easy it is to avoid the counter...sometimes the counter gets lined up.
