Can my Uncle purchase my family's Disney park tickets for us even if he will not be using them? We are trying to save every little bit we can and this would help out some if we didn't have to join to get the discount?

Do not see why he cannot purchase these as a gift for you. There is no name on the passes.

The tickets purchased there are just as good as any other ticket. They don't have a name and you don't need to show anyone a membership card or anything. Just slide them through like everyone else.

Disney will get the money you save on those anyway. It's pretty hard to get out of there without a few souveniers! ;)

AAA charges at least 4% for comissions as a travel agency. The most economical alternative I have used is booking the trips and buying the tickets directly, with my Club and teacher's discounts.

Make sure your relative pays for the passes with
cash. A fee was paid by him already to join AAA.
There isn't any rule that says he has to USE the
passes once he has purchased them.

Also: for Humpback1962 - You mentioned a teachers'
discount in your reply...can you respond??? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I don't see why he couldn't buy the passes for you. There isn't any type of surcharge for purchasing them (the 4% commission). I'm not sure if the previous poster meant for the tickets or not. I find the discounts on tix are about the same as using the DC card. Maybe a few cents differences. Seems like you can't use a CC at AAA or maybe that was just the Discover card you couldn't use (I wanted to use it at the time because it gave me a special 2% back).
