Has anyone flown Airtran recently? I've never used this airline and I'm looking a short trip to WDW next week. I can get RT for $100 out of Buffalo. It's a "sale fare" and does not offer advanced seating like their other fares for the same flight. Does anyone know how this works?

I'm traveling with my daughter and I'm worried about not being able to sit together. If everyone else has been able to pre-select their seats, I'm worried there will only be single seats left and this fare won't be worth the hastle.

I'd appreciate any insight if anyone has any. Thanks.

We flew AirTran in April for the first time. They gave us our seat selections when we booked, which was fairly early. They were great!!! I loved the price compared to other airlines. They have nice planes, probably the nicest they we have ever flown, flight attendants were great. I would definately use them again in the future. I don't think that you would be disappointed.

you can check in on line 24 hours in advance and select your seats then.

We've flown Airtran from Atlanta to Orlando before. They were very good. Most of their planes are pretty new Boeing 717's I believe.

You can use the on-line check in for AirTran 24 hours up until 90 minutes before your flight. If you get on as soon as you can you should have no problem getting two seats together.
The good thing about their planes is that the left side are only two seaters and the right side has three seats. This has worked great for me and my DS since we always choose the left side.
