health related query. please help!!!!

Last week (friday) I woke up and was all spotty, i had spots on my body, arms and tops of legs but none on my face or lower arms. I went to the doctor and he said that I had a viral rash???? Which is something that I have never heard of! I was worried that it could have been measels or something.

Any way Doc said to moisturise with E45 and take paracetamol and it should go on it's own, the only trouble is that I feel like a right freak! And it's not the most attractive ailment ever!


Has anyone else ever had this kind of thing? the spots look like very dry blotches and the skin is peeling from some of them

This is very common and although they may look awful they will go in a few days. It means a rash which has appeared as a result of a virus(non bacterial) infection like a cold or most sore throats etc. Using the E45 helps to moisturise the dryness caused by the flaking.

i am pleased today, the spots look a lot better, I have been putting cream on them and it seems to have helped.

I hope that they don't come back, I think I may have got a bit run down and not had enough sleep or something and it was my bodies way of telling me to slow down.
