Hotel Discounts???

Does Disneyland come out with generic discount codes for the hotels like Disney World does, or are you pretty much stuck paying rack rate there? Do they have any AAA rates?

Discounts seem harder to come by at DL. As far as I know, there aren't any postcards or codes that go around like at WDW. I believe there are AAA rates, and depending on the season, they sometimes come out with special packages that are worthwhile. A couple years ago I got a Fall Fantasy package where I paid for 3 nights and got the 4th night free.

However, sometimes there are good deals to be found on sites like Travelocity and Expedia. It seems that they are only available closer to the date of the stay, but they can be pretty substantial (mostly at Paradise Pier). From what I've seen, GC seems to be least likely to be discounted since it's the most popular (my favorite).

We have a room booked at the GC for this week (yea!) and I just saw that the price went down on Expedia/Travelocity. Can I get this price by calling Disneyland and asking for the same rate? Or do I have to book it through Expedia? It's too late to cancel my DL booking so if that's the only way then I'm stuck paying more. I'm going to call them and see, but I'm waiting for my husband to get home to do that since my daughter will wake up from her nap any minute and it's impossible to talk on the phone while in the same room as her so until I can call, anyone know?
