Anyone else going? Any animation collectors/buffs from this board going?

I just got the preliminary schedule

Movies they will be showing with guest appearances.

Tuesday, July 24 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Gary Trousdale will host. He was co-director on such animated features as Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame abd this summer's Atlantis

Wednesday July 25 Dinosaur

Brian Jefcoat, James Crossley and Sandra Groeneveld will host. All three were invoolved in Dinosaur. James and Sandra also worked on Mulan

Thursday July 26 A Bug's Life

Jeff Kurti author of The Art of Mulan and several other animation books will host this evening.

Friday July 27 Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Hosted by Don Hahn, one of Hollywood's most successful animation producer. His credits include Atlantis, Beauty and The Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and of course my favorite, The Lion King.

Saturday July 28 John Henry and The Lion King

Hosted by Mark Henn and Chris Sanders. Mark is an animator extradinaire with such credits as Young Simba, Ariel, Jasmine and Belle. Chris has served as a story artist on The Lion King, Alladin and Beauty and the Beast and is now co-head of the Story Department.

This event also gives the guests the opportunity to storyboard their own Disney "Feature" and present it at the wrap party on Sunday.


So am I the only "nut" from the DIS going to this event?

instrumental in the Star Wars Episodes as well?

I don't think Don Hahn had anything to dowith Star Wars, but I am not a Star wars officianado.
