View Full Version : Should I just go ahead and book my flight?

I know I am way late booking the airfair for my September WDW trip. We'll be leaving the 18th from Nashville and coming back the 25th. I've watched the rates go up and down for a month now. I wanted to book when Southwest had the $39 one-way rates, but didn't know then if I would definitely get to go. Well, now I know and the same flight is $215. Should I just stop waiting for lower rates and book? Are the rates likely to go even higher if I wait any longer? If I had never seen the $39 dollar rates, would $215 be considered a decent price for a round-trip non-stop flight? Sorry for all the questions :) This will be my first time flying. I guess I'll ask one more question. Should I fly Southwest or Delta?

I doubt they will drop before your trip. Most of these fares have 14 and 21 day purchase windows.
As to who you should fly; fly who ever has the least expensive rates.

I fly both of them out of Nashville a lot.

My feeling is that since you missed the cheap fare on SW it may be a while before we see it again. (It was a long time since we last saw it!) When that speical is not on the $215 is pretty much as low as it goes.

Go with whichever is cheaper between Delta and SW. (or has better times for you if they cost the same)

(NOTE: Delta flies the little jets so if that makes you nervous....I think the small jets are great!)
