View Full Version : $49 a night at the All Stars

Hi,
After hearing about this deal on the Resort Board I called CRO and was able to get the ASMusic for $49 a night plus tax =$54.88 a night for 9 nights = $493.92. This is a great rate. No code. I called and told the CM that a friend was quoted that rate and I was wondering if it was avaiable. That I was looking for the best rate they had for my time frame of Sept1st through the 10th of this year. It took two calls and a couple minutes on hold but it was worth it.

Is there a time frame on this? I have mine booked in May for $90 a night, but if I can get it cheaper then so be it.

Hi,
I really do not know if this rate is good during May. The post I read noted Aug/Sept and since I was interested in Sept I gave it a shot. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Maybe give CRO a call and ask for the best rate avaiable during your time frame and see what comes up.
Good Luck,

I would say that this is a seasonal/special ratebut if you really want to find out call and ask. All they will tell you is yes or no. Late Aug and early (except for Labor Day weekend) Sep are historically slow travel times.
The special $49.00 rate at the value resorts runs from Aug 9 to Oct 3.

What is a CRO?
BethR
03-11-2001, 05:18 PM
Welcome to the DIS! :)
CRO stands for Central Reservations Office. It is where you book rooms and dining at Disney World.
BTW - this is the BEST rate that I can recall seeing for the All Stars in the 3 years that I have been coming to these boards! I hope that MANY of you are able to take advantage of this GREAT RATE! :)

I called for reservations for August 13-20th and I was quoted a rate of $99.00 per night and she knew nothing of discounted rate. I asked for clarification on low season rates and she said that they do not begin until September. I called for August because DeeP in a previous post mentioned that value season was Aug. 9 - Oct. 3, but the woman I spoke with was not aware of this. Once again, we have to make sense of the politics involved in the WDW reservation process. Oh well, I guess I'll try again later! Good luck to all others who are trying to acquire this same rate. :)

I just tried again but this CM couldn't find this rate at all. She did suggest to me that in order to find out what this special is called would be to ask one of you lucky few who got the rate to call and ask what special you booked. She said that then we could call back and ask for the same thing...I sure hope that this doesn't sound too pushy but this is what the CM suggested to do.

I don't have time to call now but I suggest calling back and telling them your friend got a really great rate of $49 and you wanted to see if it was available for the time you were going to be in Orlando. It helped my CRO when I told here the special rate started in Aug and lasted through October. I called 2x before I got results. I would keep calling till you get someone will to look and find the special rate, it's there.
The CRO knew I lived in NY before I made the ressies so its not a Florida only special.
If You have no luck, I'll call at dinner time and find what to ask for :D

Hi. I called this morning after reading these posts, to try and get this deal. I have reservations from Sept 4th to 12th. The person I talked to said she couldn't find it. She asked me where I heard about it and if I knew of a code. She said they have over 200 packages and she hadn't heard of this. She put me on hold while she and her supervisor got on this sight, but they couldn't find this post. I forgot to tell her one step. Anyway she suggested that I leave a post asking for more information on the special. How the first person got it, what is it called, is there a code? I would really appreciate it if someone knows the answer to any of this.
Thanks, Stephanie

This is the first time I have called CRO since our trip last fall, what has happened to Disney CRO? All I did was ask if they could check for specials for Aug 9 through Oct 4 and the guy got mad at me and said, I need a code or I can't help you! What is going on? I've never had that before...

Called yesterday and no luck, quoted 99.00 a night and was disappointed :(
Called again today and with some friendly & gentle persistance about hearing about lower rates and it being worth a shot she did a little more looking and hit Pay Dirt!!!! Now I have Sept. 30 throught October 10th at 49.00 a night plus tax which is LESS than the six nights I had! I just knew my cell phone was going to die before I got the confirmation number since I had left it off the charger for too many days! Now just to play the waiting game for some great airfare!

I tried with no luck. I guess it depends who you talk to -- I will keep pestering but if anyone who got the rate could post with the name of the promo the CM I talked to said that might help. Thanks
I called this morning too and got the low rate for Aug. 24 and Sept. 1-4 (going around our DVC week). My CRO agent had a little trouble finding it at first and did ask if I had a code, but kept at it and finally found the $49 rate. At the end, I did ask her if it had a "name" so I could tell someone else and she said it did not, to just have them ask for the $49 special rate or the $54.88 with tax that runs from Aug - Oct. She said they should be able to find it with that info. I got AsMo, but all 3 resorts were available this morning at about 10:30. Good luck all!!

Wow 23 replies in one day.
I did not have a code. It took two calls to get the $49 rate. The second CM was very nice and I told her I had heard about a $54.88 rate from a friend and that I was looking for the best rate avaiable for my time frame of Sept 1st through the 10th. It took her a few minutes but she seemed excited that she had found the rate. I put a one night deposit on my AmEx and requested Clyspo building and a non smoking room.

I guess I just got lucky same as Tiffany two phone calls, one Sunday other earlier this afternoon. I just was very casual about it and mentioned the August 9th - Oct. 4th time frame and the 49.00 price and it took about 3-4 minutes for the CM to find it, she also seemed happy to find it for me and enjoyed helping me book a bargain. No code, no nothing!
I can certainly sympathize with everyone's frustrations though, at first she didn't find it and my heart just sank. I called my DH afterward and was so excited but I don't think he understands what hoops I jump through like last year I was so excited to get MKC at WL in Dec. and he just doesn't get it????

I called twice today. Both times I was put on hold for several LONG minutes while the operators spoke to their manager. Both times they came back saying there is no such deal and that I needed a code to get a better price. BOTH OPERATORS WERE EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! I already have reservations and have always stayed on property. Now I'm thinking of cancelling them and staying at the Swan/Dolphin instead!

I've called 3 times and spoke to nice CM's all 3 times. The woman tonight went out of her way and went through all the discounts. She said that the one that she could find running for those dates was "direct marketing" (postcard) and that you had to have a pin # and then the postcard at check in. I told her that my "friend" (you guys!) were able to get it without a code and it wasn't direct marketing. She could find nothing. One CM this a.m. told me that if I had the code that I could call back with it and they'd be able to find it. Does anyone have a code.
P.S. the guy in the Disney Dollar fiasco -- I seem to remember his name was Joe.

I tried three times (twice on sat. & once on Sun.) to get this rate and was unsuccessful. One of the CM gave me a code that was this rate but said it was for Florida residents only. I was able to get another code from another poster but it was also only for Floriday residents. As I live in Canada, this was no use to me. I settled for a reservation at the Dolphin for $129 /night using the nurses rate.

The first call was to a CM who asked me if I wanted her to go through 8,000 pages of information to find it. I could tell it would not be a pleasant time one the phone! So I hung up and dialed again. (4;30 pm 3/12) Got a female Cm who was happy to look but said it may take a while! No problem. She finds one for FL residents. I say no, that won't work. I quote the prices, the dates to help her. There! She says she found availability at all 3 AS, which one do I want. I will feel better when I get the confirmation nthe mail.
It is so frustrating, but I have gotten some good rates in the last 3 years just by perservering. Hang in there!!

I have called a few times. Was told that rate was for cast members. I told each person that I was told the rate "the person I know" was available for anyone. After tons of checking, no one could find it. The last person said if I could get my friend's information (name ressie is under, arrival date or "better yet a reservation number") then the CRO could pull that up and find the information for the rate for me. Is anyone willing to share any of their info w/ me so I can get the rate too? Please email me at pennyhm@aol.com or pennyhm@msn.com if so. Thanks a ton!

What a great CM I had on the phone! I told him about the great rate I had heard of and he tried really, really hard to find it but all he could find was the $49 Fla. resident rate. In his searching he did mention a special rate at the Moderates. So when it was apparent that he wasn't going to find the $49 special I was hoping for I booked DxL at $89 +tax/nite...Not what I was quite hoping for but not bad at all....I hung up actually pleased with the rate I got....
Two hours later I received a phone call from the same GREAT CM! He told me that he felt so bad that he couldn't find the $49 rate that on his break he asked around and was able to track it down! He then asked did I still want it! After I booked ASMo for 7 nites I asked to speak to his supervisor so that I could let her know how this Special CM had gone the extra mile and treated me as if I was someone really special...Made my day for sure!
I can't wait to get the actual reservation in my hand! Good luck to everyone..keep trying!

I called twice first time no luck. Second time called and said I heard of a $49 special for the All Star Resorts running from 8/9/01 - 10/3/01 and wanted to check the availability for a few dates. I checked one week all where available except Movies then checked another week and got the Movies for the above dates. It was not too bad just give them the specific date range and refer to the $49 special for that time frame. Good Luck!!

I would really like this $49.00 rate, but what's up with the $89.00 for the moderates. Does anyone have any codes yet (for any deals) I have had no luck at all. They all want a code. I received one of these post cards a few months ago. It was for January and February and it did have a rate code on it. It's just so fustrating and exciting at the same time. Knowing there are all these discounts out there, but without the right info. you can't get a thing. I would love to at a Moderate for only $89.00.

I think that I have finally come to the realization that there is no such price out there. Many of us have tried over and over again and it just isn't there. I have spoken to four CM's today including 2 managment the last one was very snippy and cold and angry that I could not give any more info. She said those who say that they have this rate must be lying or they would be able to give(and get a special code or package name).I am at a loss so if any one has any more info please pass it on. I am tired of being snipped at by CM's and told my "friends" (you guys) are lying. I would love to go back to prove to her my friends don't lie. So help Please.

Okay, I'm very excited. I have been calling 1-407 Wdisney all along, but just found a new 1-800 # on this board. I had no idea there was a toll free #. I decided to call and it's the WDW Travel Co.I asked about the $49.00 special and also the $89.00 for the Moderates. I gave her the dates and she found both specials within a couple of minutes. There are no restrictions, no codes, just have to go between 8/9-10/3. I booked the Carribean Beach, but I'm still not sure. She said I can call and switch as long as rooms are avail. I'll probably go to the Resort Board to get advice on which to stay it. Anyway, maybe it's all to do with who you call. Try this 1-800-828-0228. She was so nice and friendly. I haven't gotten anyone
as nice or helpful with the other #. And this deal is great. I'll be saving $60.00 per night. That's $540. saved for our 9 night vacation!!

I tried calling the 1-800 DC number several times and each time I got the rate without the a problem. The difficulty that I was having is that I saw a post on this board (somewhere) that someone said that they got that rate in December! I could not get it for December. Only the fall. They told me it is in there for December but that you have to have the special post card to get it. Have those of you that have been having difficulty getting this rate been calling the CRO or WDWTC? I have gotten different results by calling different places.

I have tried several times to acquire this rate as well and still no luck! I just spoke to a CM who searched everywhere and put me on hold for a about 5 minutes only to return and tell me that she DID see this discounted rate, but of course there is a package code that goes with it!! I am so frustrated. It doesn't matter who we talk to, we all get different answers. Sometimes I wonder how Disney still gets so much business when this kind of stuff continually happens. As the CM reiterated to me several times, it specifically shows that there IS a package code needed for this discount. If anyone has anymore info, can they please email me at tiger926@excite.com. I am a Canadian teacher on Spring Break this week and I am determined to get to the bottom of this mystery if it kills me! <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I just called this morning for the $49 rate in september. It took a while but the cm finally found one. First she said because I had airline tickets included I was not able to get the rate, it was only for certain states. I can't remember all of the states I know NJ, NY, PA, were mentioned. It seemed as though this rate only applied to those states. At first she said if I didn't have the air included I could get the deal, she put me on hold, when she came back she said that her supervisor told her the air didn't matter, I still needed to be a resident of one of these states. I noticed from reading all the replies of people who got the rate that they are from these states. Has anyone on the WEST COAST gotten this deal, if so how. BTW the cm called it the "Have you ever seen a dream come true" special. -Stephanie

i noticed that many peiople are claiming to have gotten this elusive rate ,however not so much as one of them has been able to give the package code. if they got the rate the code will come with it. it sounds like a case of blarney to me. i have tried repeatedly to get info from disney on this and no one seems to have that package during those times. if the rate was real and they actually booked the vacation they would have the code and there would be no reason not to post it here. you are all being shined on i fe

Stepherella, do you know if there were specials under that name for any other resorts?
I hate calling when I don't have a lot of info. I feel really dumb! I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. But it seems worth it for the great rates people get!
I called the DC 800 # about the $49 Value/$89 Moderate rate and the CM could not find a thing. I then called 1-800-828-0228 and she pulled it up immediately. I was not booking, but inquiry for my sister-in-law, so I asked what the name of this discount was and if there were any restrictions. She said that this was a "Newspaper Rate" for Florida Residents. It seems that there are so many rates, codes, discounts out that the CM's can't keep up.

I am not a FLA resident. I am not employed  either so that has nothing to do with it. I called CRO and was able to give them some information to quickly find the rate info. The CM said she could do this rate for me and that was it. Booked ASMo the end of August, even though I am still undecided on the time of year I want to go LOL but I figured something is better than nothing! Thanks to the OP and to K.R.!

As I posted earlier I got the rate and it is REAL. As far as we should be able to post a code I believe the boards policy is not codes are allowed to be posted here. Not to mention the fact that I did not need a code to book the $49 rate all I did was say "I want to book the $49 rate at the allstars that is running from 8-9 through 10-3". Good Luck to all and the rate is real and open to everyone travelling in that time frame.

$49.00 per person or $49.00 a night no matter how
many in the room?
Thanks!

i read the rules it says nothing that i saw regarding codes and i cant see any real reason not to give them out it only makes more sales for disney. i am doubtful of this rate. no one has mentioned if its per person per night or if that cost covers more than one person. its a little too sketchy for my liking.

From what I understand, there IS no code. I was able to get this rate so I know it does exsist. There were no prequalifiers. It is good for everyone as far as I know. The rate of $49 is per ROOM per night, not per person. There is a limit at the All Stars of four per room plus one in a crib I think.

The rate is real and just because CRO can not get their facts straight does not mean those of us that got the rate are not telling the truth. As far as Codes there is NO CODE just tell them you want the "$49 All Star Special running from 8-9 to 10-3." You will have to give them your specific dates for them to see if that rate is available for your dates. I have the rate arriving on 9/19 and leaving on 9/23. We are staying at All Star Movies but all of them where available for that time period. The rate is per room. GOod Luck to everyone to get this great rate. I did have to call twice and used the 407wdisney number.

well i did get a 49.00 rate however it is per person per night. it also included airport shuttle
7 day park hopper blah blah. now i just found this "newspaper rate". it unfortunatley is for FLA residents only. ie. you need a fla licence or id.
the only other package i can get them to comeup with is the "have you ever seen a dream come true"
but you have to end your stay by oct 3. i dunno
how you got that rate. and according to everyone of the people i have spoken to every package has a code associated with it

I don't know about any of the others, but I didn't get any sort of package. I just got the room and that was it. The total PER NIGHT is $54.88 INCLUDING tax ($49 per night plus tax). No package, no code, no tickets purchased with, no airfare, etc.

I know how confusing and frustrating this is. I got the rate by recieving a card in the mail. I clarified that it is per night, and called back and spoke to another CM to confirm. It seems that at this point, one of their target areas is the Northeast. Also, I have had to have special codes MANY times when booking NON-Disney hotels too! And look at the kind of interest this has been created. Remember that if codes are posted, Disney may stop special offers like this. I think it is better to just be persistent. :)

ok disney freaks heres the deal. 49.00 bucks per night . no passes no shuttle no nothing just the room up to 4 people. no package name it does have a code but they are reluctant to give it out. the only way i could get it was by calling 1-407-disney ,not the 800# its disney direct not the disney booking agency. according to "charlotte" the woman who set me up , their systems are slower but more organized (it did take a while). the resort i grabbed btw is the allstar movies. heheh we goin to disney tinko5!!!

To all of those who have been following this post trying to get this rate, I am sure that you have seen my posts and read my frustration so you know what I am about to tell you is real This rate is out there(I just got it) and there is no code but this CM did call it a package, even though it was only for the room. The name she called it was "Direct Mail Offer Fall Value Rate". It is a special for certain states and it is for the room not per person $49. or $54.88w/ tax a night the actual dates she said it was good for was Aug.9-Oct.3 and at all three value resorts. There is no catch no restrictions as she said it is for everyone in these certain states. Sorry I don't know which states only OH. I have tried for 3 days and way to many Cm's alot of them not very nice, then this last one was SUPER!!!!. I even spoke with her supervisor afterwards to inform her how wonderful this CM is. It was a mailing that went out in these specific states but no post card or anything will be needed at check in. I so much wish the rest of you luck and hope that I was able to help. Within the last 20 mins, 1st call to 800/828-0228.
First she found it but only for pass holders,
then she found it, but only for 4/22-5/23, then she found it for 8/9-10/3. She asked where I was from (TN) and that worked. It seems this special is in the fine print under the 4/22-5/23 offer, so maybe if you have them look there??? I also started the conversation asking for a quote for the Fall Fantasy Special and then did a BTW, would you mind checking on a special that I'm hearing about. I think the low key expectation helped. I wanted to stay at the Moderates, but she quoted the $49 for the All Stars as well. I have only been reading these boards for about 5 days and want to thank everyone who takes the time to post advice. It has been tremendously helpful.

Thanks WDW/Wendy Your post explains alot. We have been talking about taking a WDW trip and the chance to stay on property for that rate was all we needed. I have been trying to get the $49 rate with no success but we are from Arizona. I'm sure our state is not included. Too bad-- with 4 kids we would need two rooms-- can't afford to do it at $99 a night.I guess they don't need or want West Coast visitors. Congrats to all of you who qualify.

sheila - a CM found this rate for me before she knew what state I was from. I just said I wanted to check availability on the $49 all stars special for the fall, august/9 through october 3. Cats Mom: I just got the rate and I asked if it was for any special states and she said no, that it was open to everyone. It took her awhile to search through her specials and find it though. At first she said there was a special for certain states at that rate, but then she searched further and found it. She also told me I don't need a special rate code or a postcard. We're going September 7th - $49/night ($54.88).

Just wanted to mention a few things.
If you have your heart set on the ASMo but are flexible with travel dates, ask for the dates you WANT to travel. If Movies is not available for those specific dates, ask the CM to check for ASMo for "around that timeframe" at the $49 rate.
Also, the travel dates do not have to end on the third of Oct. If the third is inc. in the timeframe, the $49 rate applies.
HTH someone!

Well I am glad so many people have been able to get the rate. I just read through all of the posts in this thread and it hurt me that "bonehead" more or less called me a liar as I am the person who started this thread. I see that "bondhead" was able to get the $49 rate so I guess I am telling the truth.
I am glad that so many people have saved money on their upcoming trips and for those of you that have not had luck yet keep trying and good luck.
Just to repeat. I did not need a code. I just mentioned that a friend had been quoted a rate of $54.88 and that I was wondering if any more rooms were avaiable at that rate because I was looking for the best rate avaiable. It took two calls.
Good luck to all,

Because of your posts and the others that followed, I, too, was persistant and was able to secure this rate for our trip this fall. From the bottom of my wallet (oh, I meant heart!) - Thank you for posting this awesome deal.
To the other still trying, I did not have a code, I just mentioned that a friend told me. I, too, was told it was a Fla resident thing but, the CM was very diligent and checked into this further for me and FOUND it.
Be NICE and just keep trying until you find those wonderful CMs (I was hoping that they were still there in CRO (see earlier post questioning what has happened there)). My faith is renewed in Good Ole Disney.
Thanks again for the post and great sharing of information for the benefit of us all!

I called 5 times in a row tonight. The first 4 times I was told I need a code or a package name. The last time I got a WONDERFUL CM who didn't find it but put me on hold and talked to her supervisor. She came back and she it looked like we were all set. I asked what the name of the package was and she said that there was no name for it. I was able to get ASMo. I asked her no less than 4 times if she was sure that I did not need ID from a particular state or a postcard, etc. to check in. She assured me that I did not. She said that if something like that was required, that she would type it in on the comments and it would appear on the ressie at the hotel when we got there. She said that she was not typing in anything that I would need to show.I'm still a little leery. I hate to cancel my ressies with my AAA discount and get there and find out that they are going to charge me full price because I needed some ID for the $49 special. Argggghhhh. Should I be worried? We all know that the CMs aren't always well informed and we've heard disaster stories about check in. This one seemed on the ball though and was very helpful.

it seems that some people have taken my skepticism of the rate as some kind of personal
attack. that would be totaly inaccurate. at no time did i point a finger or even state the claims of the rate were false. i merely expressed my own doubts. if you read my post's it was a matter of opinion. something we are entitled to and we all know everyones opinion stinks. my theory is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is ,and it generally keeps me from making expensive mistakes.
the thing about the internet and forums is that its difficult to show mirthful disbelief , as was my intent. i dont really have the time or patience
for smilies . thats why i also dont use caps or a lot of punctuation. if anyone took this personaly , (tiffany) you shouldnt. i didnt flame anyone (as seems i am being),call names , or speak harshly. so that aside , i will say good luck to all congrats to those who have been diligent enough to nail down the rate. and if anyone wants to know what i feel is the easier way to obtain the rate ,leave me a post here .and i will help in anyway i can. although there doesnt seem to be any one method more effective than another. take care al

Tiffany - Thanks for all the great info!
Bonehead - Lots of the stuff you see here seems unreal. Great deals when all you've ever seen for disney are rack rates? who knew? BUT, it's important to remember when posting that it is often difficult to get your true meaning across in writing, especially with sarcasm, humor, etc. That's why people use smilies. There are lots of nice people here, and they will forgive you (if you apologize). Still, it is worth it to take a few extra minutes to make sure that your intent gets across.
I would be interested in hearing your suggestions. It's so crazy trying to get these discounts!

gillian , i dont call myself bonehead for nothin!
i'm a stubborn "i'll believe it when i can squash it in my hands" kind of guy . tink05 can attest to that (my wife) and i expect she cringes at my every post. but any way i think your best bet here is disney direct ,thats the 407 # . the thing here is though is the wording you use. the offer really isnt a package since its for the room only. you need to make that clear to whoever you speak to . it is also important i feel to use the "fall value rate" and give the dates its covers. i made at least 20 calls to the 800# and i when mentioned the dates the girl asked me if i was really going to stay 55 nights!!! i replied that if i was i would be staying in the castle because i would have to own disney to afford that. but as soon as i called the 407 # the woman found it right away but had a hard time believing it herslef so she dug into it to clarify the details. it isnt the FLA residents only offer . she did ask where i was from but didnt mention anything regarding regional restrictions. just make it clear it isnt a package its for the room only and make sure they understand also its not per person. i think if do it that way you will get it as well. good luck i hope this helps somehow. keep us up on your progress. i hate seeing everyone going through all of this hassle for what should be an enjoyable time
I have only posted here 1 other time, but I read here all the time. I just had to say that I called this morning, twice, and the second time I got the $49.00 rate for the ASmo, going the first week in Sept. I am just thrilled!! The first CM I talked to said I had to have a postcard and I couldn't get anywhere. The second person I talked to found the rate in a minute and said nothing was required at check in. I asked him several times to make sure, and he assured me nothing was required. I also cancelled ressies I had previously made, so I am hoping that this all turns out ok! This is our first trip, so saving this money made it even better, thanks to all of you and your great tips!!

Thanks to everyone on this board and their helpful advice, I finally got the rate today after 2 calls. I have been calling for 4 days now. The first CM was rude, insisted I had to have a postcard. Next CM very nice. Found the rate immediatley! I can't use it though because I had already booked a package- early on in my excitement to go- not knowing yet from these boards that buying seperately is best deal. I could have cancelled my package but it would have cost some money and been a hassle. Next time I know! I was just thrilled to get this rate finally. All I said was that I heard they had a special going for the Allstars from Aug 9 - Oct 3. NO problem getting room at Asmo. Thanks everyone.

Just called 1407DISNEY and asked the CM for the $49 special using code (code deleted), worked like a charm because we are now booked for 8 nights from Sept. 28-Oct.6.

Yep (code deleted) did the trick alright!
CM said the code was originally aimed at the hispanic community and made me wait to be sure you didn't have to be speak Spanish to get the rate. Happily she came back and said you did not.
There are no restrictions as far as how few or many days to book either, which she said is often the case.
Happy booking and THANKS!!

I called the past few days and kept asking for the August 9 - Oct 3 rate deal.
Just now I spoke to Skeeter and she found the rate no problem - no code was given, just asked for the Fall special (same as I did the last three times I called). She found the rate 49 value and 89 moderate. Took the Port Orleans French Quarter, stayed there last year at full rate and loved it. She said that I would need to show ID but she was putting a note that Canadian ID is to be accepted.
Thanks to everyone who posted on this board !!!!!

Before I even had a chance to be depressed that my trip was over I saw these posts and called and got another 5 nights at the All Star Music in September for the 49.00 rate. The CM was shocked when the rate came up but said it had no restrictions. I know there are bad CM's out there but the ones I have dealt with have been wonderful. She bent over backwards to help me get the rate. Thank you for posting this rate!!
I wanted to remind everyone that the posting guidelines strictly prohibit the posting of discount codes. Perhaps those of you kind enough to share those codes can make them available to other posters through email.
Thanks everyone,

Just got the rate for Sept 17 thru Sept 22nd. Called and was first quoted a rate of 77 dollars a night then asked if there was anything cheaper. Cm said this was the absolute lowest rate. I then mentioned a freind or should I have said lots of friends had received a fall special of 49 dollars a night. She sounded puzzled and I mentioned 54.88 with tax and suddenly she found it. She even sound amazed. She did ask me if I was hispanic or the person who told me about this rate was hispanic, I said no and she laughed and said you do not have to have anything for this rate. Thanks again  :D :D :D

I got this rate, too! Thanks everyone! The first CM didn't know about it and had to get her supervisor to help her with the code. I was thankful that she did that, but she did do a lot of other things that I knew weren't correct. She told me there was no way to guarantee connecting or non-smoking rooms. I knew differently since I held such a reservation in my hand at the time (but I didn't want to get into that with her). I know there is a code they can put in that will make that show up, but some of them just don't know how to do it. I knew she was refusing to check for the rate at ASMo because she had already done all the work plugging my information into ASSp and didn't want to redo it. (I had never mentioned ASSp--she just told me it was there after she had already done all of her work on the ressie. When I asked if she could check availability at ASMo, a little too quickly she said it wasn't available.) She also insisted that since I needed 2 rooms that I had to have two separate ressies. I knew this was not true because I've done this so many other times. She also gave me the incorrect address to send my deposit to. (I knew this since I had recently sent in a different one!) Having said that, I was grateful that she went to the trouble to find the rate for me. I called back immediately--spoke to another CM and of course there was availability at ASMo. She was able to give me one reservation instead of two. She said the address I had been given to send my deposit in was totally wrong. I know none of you are a bit surprised at anything I've said. I'm just glad it all worked out in the end

First I would like to apologize for putting a code in a previous post. I did not realize this was not allowed and will refrain from doing so in the future.
Anyone who missed the posts that listed the code is welcome to email me and I will gladly send it to you.

I've never stayed on Disney property. Can these reservations be cancelled if it turns out we can't go and, if yes, how far in advance? Do they require a deposit?
Thanks.

<<I've never stayed on Disney property. Can these reservations be cancelled if it turns out we can't go and, if yes, how far in advance? Do they require a deposit?>>
You get a full refund on your deposit if you cancel within 5 days of arrival.
You must give them one night's deposit.
Sometimes through wdw travel company there are different rules but with the all star special I just had to give the one night's deposit and was assured that I would get a full refund if I cancelled within the proper time frame.
Hope this helps! <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

Thank you to everyone on this great board!! I just called 800-WDISNEY and got the $49 rate! I'm so excited! I used the code that a few people were kind enough to email to me and it worked perfectly :) When I made my ressies, I was told that there were absolutely no restrictions on the code! Thanks again everyone!
Thanks again,
Jenn

Gibbey - just be careful to ask what the cancellation policy is when you book. Even if you get room only, it could be either through CRO or WDTC. They have different policies. CRO will require 1 night's deposit & the balance on site. WDTC requires full payment in advance and has a stricter cancellation policy.
With either, if you don't give a deposit within 10 days, you lose the reservation.
Fun stuff, huh? :)

I will be more than glad to share the code I used, but due to the DIS rules/regulations about posting codes - please email me at pknight34@home.com and I'll respond to each of you this evening.
I found the code here on the boards earlier this week and I was successful on the first call - obtaining the Caribbean Beach for $89 per night. I even called back today to have a couple of building locations added to my reservation and I double checked to make sure that there were no stipulations to my reservation. Today's CM reiterated what I was told on Wednesday - all I have to show at check-in is a picture ID and a copy of my confirmation letter.
I had an existing reservation and the use of this code saved me $199. :D
