Rumored hard opening set for Stitch as 9/1.

2004 - Stitch’s Great Escape - (8/11/04) Screamscape has heard that Stitch may start a few very limited session Soft Openings sometime in the next couple of weeks (for an hour or two a day) and a tentative hard opening set for Sept. 1st.

The AP Website says that they will announce an AP preview date for Stitch at the end of this month.

On Sunday the whole front of the ride was a big hole. I don't see how they could be doing soft openings now with a hard opening Sept. 1st.

I think the Oct. 1st date is very realistic, with soft opening in a few weeks. Actually, we aren't in any rush, my DS has to grow a few more inches before he can see his favorite alien experiment! ;)

Great news as we will be there Oct. 6th. We were so disappointed as "Small World" is closed. Hopefully this will help.

Man, we're going for Labor Day weekend so I hoped it was open. We're going to get the Florida resident seasonal pass, so we'll just go back when it opens. LOL

Unfortunately I doubt it. Just returned yesterday and got a glimpse from the TTA and it looks like a lot of work still needs to be done. Definitely still resembles a construction site behind the barriers. Did hear stitch which was cool.

I have not looked down in that area for a week and a half. But I agree with deltachi8.
It would take a heck of a lot of PD to get it going. There was not even a sidewalk.

I had been told end of October, beginning of November. But that was in just casual conversation with a CM.
AP have not been told anything recent, and we are to get a sneak preview.

I walked past the site today and could hear Stitch's voice (it was really nice to hear -- of course I don't know what he was saying since he was speaking alien).... anyway, I did notice that the new signs are up in place of the old XS signs -- the new ones say Galactic Federation Prisoner Transport Center (or something to that effect).

I'll post if I hear any news.

I hope it will be ready by mid october when we will be there. We were already a little disappointed that small world was closed for renovation. It's one of my daughters favorites. Then on another site I have learned that:

Ariel's Grotto will be closed September 13 through November 11,
2004.

Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree in Frontierland is changing.
The current show will end September 4. The redesigned show is
supposed to feature Toy Story 2's Jessie, Woody and Bullseye --
we'll have more details as soon as they are available.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin will not be operating September 13 -
October 15, 2004.

We we're hoping to hit Ariel's and Magic Carpets, possibly Goofy while we were there this time.

Here's hoping for Stitch by October. We are going to MNSSHP one night so if it's open by then hopefully it will run un the evening.

I'm really sad! We will be arriving Oct. 6th and was looking forward to Goofy's Country Dancin'. On the kids "to do" list was Ariels Grotto, so guess that's out too. We were already disappointed about A Small World being closed. We had been talking about Small World for months before we found out it was closed.

The AP preview is early November. So I would expect the CM preview the week before.
Last Saturday evening we were in the MK.
We went to Tomorrowland to ride the TTA and check out the new Stitch area.
They were playing almost a constant loop of Stitch sounds now.
The outside has come a long way. There is a cement walk/que area. And a large wall off to the side on the right. I am wondering if this is the Fast Pass area.
There were doors open and lights on inside. I could see a little in the inside que area. Against a large wall are the symbols from that intergalactic panel. Reminds me of the opening of Lilo & Stitch. Same colors -- steel blues and greys.

After re-boarding our windows this morning :rolleyes: DH wants to take some fun time before hunkering down -- again. :p I would like to go to MK.
