WHEW! Lucked out on SWA airfare!

DD and I spent all day yesterday in KC shopping. Left home about 7:30 am and got home last night a little before midnight. When we got home I decided to check SWA website to see if fares had gone down for flights from KC or St. Louis to MCO for our trip in December as I didn't have a chance to yesterday morning. Boy, was I glad I did!!! Flights from STL-MCO were only $49 one way. So I changed our flights from KC-MCO at $201.20 per person to STL-MCO at $116.70 per person RT. This is for flights on 12/11 and 12/17. I also called my aunt and woke her up so she could book her flight to MCO departing 12/21 and returning 1/6 for the same amount. She sure was happy too!

I check SWA website at least once a day for flights from both KC and STL and I didn't see this on Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning and its gone again today. Did anyone from Missouri notice this rate before yesterday for travel in December? Just curious.

I'm doing the happy dance around here as I've saved $422.50! Doesn't make me feel so bad for buying 3 swimsuits at half-price yesterday! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I didn't notice these rates. But, I'm so happy for you! We took advantage of SWA for next month. We were initially going to drive, but with those prices it couldn't be beat! Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for posting! I just got my December airfares for $95 Round trip! (Of course I am now staying 2 extra days since that was the only way to get the CHEAP airfare LOL!)

I am from the St Louis area and had booked SW just earlier his past week. I was thrilled to see th $49 each way fares! What a bargain! I will be meeting friends there in October for girlsl trip and my family is going in November. I love SWA! ::MickeyMo
