No specific plans to meet anywhere yet. I believe that some of the people who have replied on this thread are meeting at Chef Mickey's for dinner before MVMCP. Since they will most likely shuffle all of us to Tomorrowland prior to the start of the party, that seems like a logical place to meet. If anyone has any good ideas about when and where, let me know.

Mouseaholic (aka Cathy) posted an invite to watch Wishes with her and her friend Joan at the party this night. Joan was diagnoised with cancer last year days before Cathy headed to Disney last year. Joan is doing much better than expected, and Cathy is planning a trip with Joan this December. I was watching Wishes with Cathy last year during the party, and she told me it was her wish to bring Joan to see Wishes, and that's exactly what she is planning to do, so hopefully lots of us can plan on meeting Cathy and Joan at Wishes that night.

Do they still have Wishes on the nights of MVMCP?? I thought they don't, but maybe i am wrong...

I remembered back in 1997, they didn't t do SpectroMagic and fireworks on the MVMCP nights...

Not only do they do Wishes during MVMCP, but they do a version of Wishes that includes the peripheral fireworks, so you feel like you are right in the middle of the show.

I'm not surprised that SpectroMagic isn't going on that evening. They have a special Christmas parade during MVMCP. And they may not call it Wishes, but last Christmas, the fireworks sure looked like Wishes to me. I could be wrong. In any event, they will have the peripheral fireworks that night, so they will be spectacular.

I was looking at a map and trying to think of a good place that wasn't near a stage that might not have a show going on (don't know the schedule so can't say when they would be). I just remember trying to talk to some people right by one and I couldn't hear a thing :p

Would the area kind of close to the DVC kiosk (between Space Mt. & the Speedway) be a good meeting place? Might not be quite so crowded as the other areas.

Shall we also make it for opening time of 7 PM? I know I will just be getting counter service with some friends prior so we'll be hanging out in MK for a while before then too :)

Maybe a fun thing to do would be to stake out a section of curb for the second parade ? That would be fairly easy to "meet" and we could spell each other holding down the curb. That way we could be rowdy but appropriate ;) Then afterward we could do a "mountain tour" since the line should be non-existant.

Hello Everyone -

You may remember my posting made many months ago about about attending MVMCP on December 7th - my celebration.

You see, a year ago my friend Joan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given a month or two. At her insistance, I still traveled to WDW in early December and saw "Wishes" for the first time. It was like it was created for me - for my emotional support. From that moment I had two wishes, which I pray for each day. First, to bring Joan to the land of magic this December. The second, to bring her back.....in 10 years.

She continues in remission and we are planning our trip. We will be staying at the Beach Club from December 7 - 14.

Since then, I became ill while visiting the Gr. Floridian with a friend and was taken to the hospital in Celebration. Once I finally was able to make it home to my local hospital, my first visitor was Joan.....making her wishes for me. After nearly two months in and out of the hospital, I am finally on the road to recovery happily.

So here we come - and we have tickets for December 7th.

I would like to invite anyone who would like to share a truly magical moment of Disney magic, to join us to watch "Wishes" that night.

We will be at the "Cathy Cook memorial spot" --- end of Main Street, left hand corner at the circle. I will be the short blonde (built a little like Chip an Dale) with the Mickey Santa Hat........complete with tears of joy I am sure.

I hope you can stop by and meet my truly special friend as we celebrate in the Happiest Place On Earth.

I see there are only 2000 pins released. Will they only be available after 7pm? Where will they sell them? I really want one and want to buy as early as possible in case they sell out.

Angela - The pins are usually sold at 3 locations (or at least they have been in the past). The Emporium and the Christmas Shop (in Liberty Square) are two locations. Since the party doesn't start until 7PM and because each guest is limited to 2 pins, you shouldn't have any difficulty getting the MVMCP pin for that night.

Thank you! I will be looking for them as soon as we get there so I can get it over and not have to worry about it. I'm not much of a pin collector (yet), but I want to get the special event pins for my daughter, who's 2, in case she ends up interested in pin collecting when she's a bit older. It was her first trip when we went in September and I looked all over until I found her a "My First Trip" pin.

I can't think of anything lime green that I own, but I will be on the lookout for other Disers. If I've had enough cocoa I might even be brave enough to say hi. :wave2:

I'll be flying out of Aus in 9 days and then might not be able to access the net. I will definately be in WDW on 5th Dec - 10th Dec staying at Pop Century and have my ticket for the MVMCP.

Now - my question.

I was reading the description of MVMCP here and noticed - frantically - that they said there would be a special "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks program. I know for MNSSHP they did replace "Wishes" and I was horribly dissapointed.

Last year it was "Wishes" - because at MVMCP I saw it first. Does anyone know which fireworks display it will be???

After the fireworks we will make our way over to the Parade meet. That is a TERRIFIC spot to watch the Parade - Karen shared the idea for that viewing place with me last year.

Ok, I'm just about ready - shipping a small, Beach Club themed Christmas tree to the hotel this week. Going to make this a magical trip for Joan.

We managed to fill an entire train with DISers at one of the DIScons. It was quite a lot of fun. I think that we scared the CMs.

Hi everyone,
I went to the brick wall outside Peco's Bill but couldn't find anyone with lime green on. I didn't want to call out in case of embarrassing myself. There sure where a lot of people. No wonder I couldn't manage to find anyone.
I wasn't prepared for the sheer size of the crowds or I would have made more effort to be more precise with arrangements. I learnt a lot from my trip.
I hope you all have a great time while there though.
