I am wondering if there are lifeguards at the hotel pools because I will be leaving my kids with my parents one day on our trip. My Mom is unable to keep up with little kids and my Dad is pretty fit, but 3 kids can be hard for anyone to look after when they're not used to it. I know the kids will love the pool (we'll be at the RPR) and that would be a great thing for them to do when DH and I go hit the thrill rides. I'm not sure I'd want my Dad to be with more than one kid at a time though if there isn't a lifeguard.

We just got back from the HRH and there were several lifeguards on duty at all times. They seemed to really take their jobs seriously, also. They always kept a very close eye on what was going on in the pool. I don't know if the hotel you are at has a slide, but at the HRH there were two lifeguards whose only jobs seemed to be to watch the slide. One was at the top to make sure everyone went down properly and at the right time, and the other lifeguard was at the bottom of the slide to make sure everyone stayed clear. Hope this makes you feel better.
