We just got one from Budget, too. It is supposed to be a discount on rental rates, as well as a free one-class upgrades. We used it to book, and the car savings was only a few dollars, but I'll take anything! Now we'll see if they give us the upgrade, since it is based on availability. But they're pretty good...once they have us a free upgrade from an economy car to a Ford Escape, and that was on a cheapie Priceline rental.

Hmmm, I am not sure. Is there an 800 number you can call to ask if your debit card gets the same acknowledgment as a credit card?

Hurrah! I just found this thread - clicked through to Mastercard and Alamo - and I saved $43.35 on my September rental. Thank you so much!

The coupon wouldn't work for me, sadly. The internet support desk said that it isn't valid in Florida. However - it is valid in my next vacation location - so I can't wait to bop over and try another reservation.

Thanks again - I would NEVER have looked at that Mastercard site for a deal.

That coupon wouldn't work in the next state, either, despite the assurances of the internet support desk.... (has anyone else had any luck with it - in Florida or otherwise?)

The orginal links above seem to all still be good offers/active links EXCEPT for Alamo, Continental Airlines, and Cheesecake Factory......
