I know I've read on here that there was something you could buy to help with ears popping on the airplane. Can anyone tell me what they are called and where you can find them? I'd like to pick some up for my kids.

Thanks!
Beth

Earplanes.
You can buy them in any pharma store (Duane Reade, Walmart, etc.).

I've used the earplanes and highly recommend them. They come in child size too.

Father found them at Walgreens after my suggesting them for him (bad sinus problems - ends up with clogged ears for days after). Said they were the best $5 he ever spent. I will be getting a pair for all 4 of us before disney.

I have never heard of "earplanes" - how do they work?? The plane trip was the only miserable experience during our trip, because one of my daughter's ears would not pop until 5-10 minutes after we landed! :(

Earplanes are little rubber tubes about an inch long that you stick into your ear(s). I'm not sure how they work(I guess they equalize the air pressure?) but they have worked wonders for my children. The first time my son had a problem with his ears we were unprepared and the flight attendant gave us styrofoam cups with wet,hot paper towels in them and had him hold these on his ears. This worked just fine. I found the Earplanes at Walgreens.

I just returned from Walgreens and I did find them. They have children's sizes and adult sizes. They were $5 for one pair. Our trip isn't until November, so I didn't purchase them, yet. I'm going to check WalMart (now that I know what I'm looking for) to see if I can find them for less. If not, I'll definitely be going back to Walgreens.

Thanks for the help!
Beth :p

I bought mine at Walmart here, and I think they were $3.99 each.
