Any good May 05 car rental rates out there?

Hi,
I just checked National, and a full size for 8 days in early May would run us almost $300! Does anyone know any good rates? All of the codes on Mary's site seem to expire at the end of this year? We prefer to have our car rental at the airport, either full size or minivan.

I was going to recommend Thrifty with the Sams club code SAMS. You do have to take a shuttle though. I booked our 2 week May -Jun stay already and the midsize was $18.49 a day and an additional 10% off.

So far that is the best I have found. I will continue to check National, but at least I can budget for that.

I rented a ford taurus for eight days at 207.00 plus taxes, through budget (internet rate) They have a counter at the terminal. :wave:

We seem to keep running into each other on the boards since we are traveling at the same time! We'll be DIS board buddies before it's all over!
I'll keep checking Budget rates. For now, I have an 8 day minivan rental at National for $337.17 (without taxes). Last year we got a 7 day minivan with National for only $159!. I'll keep trying National, Budget and Alamo for good rates.

Keep checking. I made my first National reservation for last May in February, it was $197 for intermediate EA. Between then and May, I cancelled 4 reservations, got it down to $118.
