View Full Version : Vouchers when "web-only" fares drop?

I know that for the longest time, vouchers could only be had when "regular" fares dropped, and that these vouchers couldn't be used when booking online.

Recently, I found that my new Delta voucher could be used when booking online.

Is it possible that some airlines (United, in today's situation) might now have a way to receive vouchers when web fares drop? We bought at $260, the web fare has gone down to $216 today, but the "phone" fare is up to $305 - so no go on the voucher calling United's 800 number.

Any experience with this? (This isn't the sort of thing that would be featured prominently on the airline web site - if travelers discover they can get vouchers on the web, the web site traffic figures to go way up and they'd have to buy bigger servers.)

Thanks for any thoughts here.

I would suggest asking that question on www.flyertalk.com

There are many people there that are familiar with something like this.

Go to forums, airline programs, and the airline of your choice.
