View Full Version : Hotel with GOOD shuttle service to parks?

Can anyone recommend an offsite hotel with a shuttle that will get me to the parks before they open? I will be visiting Disney for four days and Universal for two.
Any advice would be great.

1) Great shuttle, Disney onsite hotels
2) Good shuttles, DTD hotels
All other off-site hotels have poor to bad shuttles. If you need free shuttles to both Disney and Universal look at some of the properties off I drive such as the Marriott Renissance.
You really should rent a car or stay onsite (at minimum stay at one of the DTD hotels).

I agree with Lewisc. Actually, to be honest, I don't even think I would call Disney shuttles "great." Their routes are somewhat limited. For example, its rather difficult and quite time-consuming to get from one hotel to another (other than along the monorail route). Even when we have stayed onsite, we have always gotten a rental car as it is much easier and quicker to get around that way. Offsite, a rental car is a must in my opinion.

I've stayed at the Radison Resort Parkway without a car, and would consider the shuttle service acceptable, but not great. During the day the service is relatively infrequent. So planning to take rest breaks during the afternoon was difficult.
If you are going to stay on I-drive, search for a hotel that has a dedicated shuttle so that you're not spending 30 minutes stopping at other properties on your way to WDW. It's your best bet for arriving at the parks before they open.
You might want to consider splitting your stay between a WDW area hotel, and a Universal area hotel. Staying on-site at Universal gives you "Front of the Line" access, and so you can get a lot done in two days if you stay on site at Universal.
Check out the transportation boards, there's good info to be found.
