Hi all - my cousin and her family, 5 in total, are staying in WDW during Jersey Week. Since this is her first time in WDW as an adult, she knew nothing of Jersey Week and is horrified at the airfares she's finding. She's even looked at all the smaller and less expensive airlines, and is willing to fly out of almost any airport at this point, but she can't find an airfare that's less than $400 - that's at least $2000 for airfare! She's even comtemplating driving down there, but with 3 kids aged 5 1/2, 4 and 2, I think she'd have a rough trip down there.
For those of you from NJ who visit WDW during Jersey Week, what are your suggestions? TIA!!:D

Not sure where you are located but there are several airline options to consider. If you are near New York/Newark, she can check out JetBlue and Song. Nearer to Atlantic City, you can try Spirit. If you are willing to drive to Allentown, PA, you can look into Lehigh Valley Airport. Southeast Airlines flies out of there to Sanford, FL (just north of orlando) and so does Delta Express. I have family and friends that have used LVA and SEAL and have been very happy with the experience and cost. I also have friends that have flown Song out of Newark and JetBlue out of NY and have also been happy with the price. My family has used Spirit out of AC and found this to be a very good alternative to Philly. You have to keep checking the sites as the prices change often. I also suggest that your cousin sign up on the airline sites for their e-mail specials. That way she can get any sales sent to her as they become available.

Unforunately, that's the problem with Jersey week. Airfares, unless you book early. I booked mine back in May and still paid what I consider to be high for MCO $225 per ticket. For your friend to find lower airfare for Jersey week, she'll have to fly out of a non-NJ airport. Meaning EWR , ACY and PHL are out. All three of them are probably booked pretty solid, and they are crawling with NJ people flying down for NJ week. If she goes up to LaGuardia, or JFK, she might find better airfare. Allentown might be another alternative. At this late date, her chance of finding an acceptable fare for NJ week is basically non-existant with any of the NJ airports (EWR, ACY and PHL). If she is willling to drive down (we do) just tell her, to take it in two days. We've driven the past two summers, and it's not really bad, but we have a DVD player in the car(my kids are now 6 and 3). Also, let her know she'll need hotel ressies for her stopovers, since there are a lot of NJ people also driving, and I've had friends shut out of MANY hotels during the drive down for NJ week.

Is she willing to go as far as the Baltimore airport? She may be able to find something reasonable there if the airports the other posters mentioned don't have anything reasonable. I booked my tickets in February for $176 each and since then the price has really gone up on my flights (which are now sold out both ways). Hope she finds something.

I booked a few weeks ago on continental out of newark for $103.00, I am thrilled with this rate as you can imagine. Great flight times and non stop on our preferred airline:D I thought most of the carriers were matching this fare. check
here (www.itasoftware.com) and here (travelocity.com)
Good Luck
Also, if she is willing to fly into St Pete from newark she may want to checkusa3000.com

Check out Southwest for Baltimore. They are showing $79 each way from BWI to MCO for most of the month of November. Hope this helps.:earsboy:
