We'll be doing the Monorail Cocktail Tour in September. I know what drink I want at the Tambu lounge at the Poly (Backscratcher) and at the Outer Rim Lounge at the CR (Yellow Monorail) can someone give me a recommendation for Mizner's Lounge at the GF?

TIA

The GF has no themed drinks; since it's a plush lounge in a pseudo-Victorian hotel, themed drinks would seem inappropriate or something.

Order a Scotch or a glass of wine, of which they have an extensive selection. If you're hungry, don't forget to ask for a menu from Citricos. You can order from its menu.

PS: The Yellow Monorails are delicious and will creep up on you ;)

--but don't expect any beer beyond the "usual suspects".
Nothing on draft and Sam Adams is about as adventurous as it gets in bottle selections.

The monorail yellow I had last week was great. I also got a Ohana Colada at the Poly. At Mizners I didnt think there was anything special so I just got my standard White Russian, DH had a beer and DM got a Cosmopolitan. But we also had the white chocolate slipper and dog bones so we werent too interested in the drinks there, LOL! ;)

Oooh, the monorail coctail tour, hadn't heard of this tour. I like it :) Hmmm may have to do the loop twice since some of the lounges are open in the afternoon and then hit the ones tied to restaurants in the evening. :)

If I could tag on a question here? Does someone know what the opening hours for these lounges are?

Yes, I'd like to know what the hours are too. Is it possible to do it during the day??

Thanks for the replies! Wow, DH is going to be bummed about the beer. Does anyone know if they have wine flights? If so how are the selections? I am going to call Disney Dining to see if they have the hours, when I find out I will post them.
Thanks Again.

If I remember correctly, Mizner's opens around 5:00 and closes rather early. It hasn't had a set closing time as of July 2003 and some nights the time would vary. Unfortunately, there were many nights that last call would be at 10:30, even with a ton of people in the lounge. Often the times differ from the "official" word.

I stayed in the MK resort area this June (at the CR) and did the Monorail Drinkathon. All lounges are open till 12 am. The Tambu Lounge and Outer Rim open at 2 pm, so you can start early...

I went to Mizner's on 7/31 before dinner at V&A's. I wanted a martini, but not the usual dirty. I asked the bartender to make something not too sweet and to surprise me and she made a "stormy weather." It was great. There was blue curacao, vodka, pineapple juice, rum and, I think, southern comfort. I went to Artist Pointe the next night and the bartender there didn't know what it was, so it might have been a drink that only the bartender at Mizner's knows.

I think a champagne cocktail, maybe a Kir Royale, is appropriate for Mizner's at the GF.

May I suggest a glass of Asti with a splash of Midori in it? Delicious!

I forget exactly what I was told but I know there was a little pina colada mix in the bottom and there was some fruit juices(orange & pineapple maybe), and Im guessing rum. Hopefully someone willhave a better description for you.
