Pray for Tiger Fan (Lisa) as she battles breast cancer.
Please pray for Franw's son. He's a 35-year-old father to three and is suffering from an illness that could require a kidney transplant.
The purpose of this list is to provide a way to print a list of all current prayer and pixie dust requests. We encourage you to continue posting new threads for prayers and pixie dust. If you have a request, please PM me.
If your request is on this list, please don't forget to keep us updated. To remove your request, just send another PM.

Thank you Kermit. It will be much easier praying for the many who are in need of it because of this thread. I know it will be a lot of work, but it seems you are drumming up quite a bit of support. Don't be afraid to ask if/when you need some help.
Prayers going up for those on the list and some not on the list also.

Sometimes, I can only come on the DIS every other week to post, but with this thread, I know that I can come home from work every morning and come to this thread directly to post. Thank you Kermit, Elmo is dancing for joy!
We all send our prayers to Tiger Fan, Beckysc's sister, Tuffcookie's mom (Susie), Barbara, Dawn, Sylvia's family, Pete Werner's family and Glo and her family.

Kermit:
I didnt know how to add this to list, but there is a Prayers/PD for my friends Angel and Linda. Iput it on a separate thread.
Angel has back cancer, he is 28 years old with a wife and two small kids. He is starting chemo immediately for nine months. We've known them for ten years. They go to our church, and we even helped them (well God did it really, we just invited them) become Christians.

Thank you for the prayers and pixie dust for my sister, Jackie. The cardiac dr is sending her for cardiac rehab and changing her meds and told her not to go back to work for a while. She is doing much better.
Now I need some of that magic for my husband who hasn't been feeling well for the last few weeks. I finally got him to agree to see a dr and I've had him there twice. We had to go back yesterday because he still isn't getting better after the first round of meds they put him on. They are running some enzyme test and trying to eliminate a few things including the West Niles Virus that the dr says they don't know very much about. It's not like him to be sick, much less agree to go to the dr.

She is so young and beautiful (29) and always so outgoing and chipper. However a ulcer formed on the bottom of her foot and it will not heal as the foot Dr. would like to see. We have tried everything so have they. I and my family belive in the power of prayer and will continue to do so and we also belive in where 2 or more pray in his name it will be done. Thank-You

Valeri's son Gabriel is doing well and is home. Valeri will start radiation sometime this month. She sees the radiation doc this Friday. Pray that an interpreter will be available for the appointment as both she and her husband are deaf. Our firiend , who is an interpreter will not be in town for the appointment. It is up to the doctor's office to get the interpreter but that doesn't mean they will do it.

God bless and God heal all these dear people.
Please pray for all those suffering and in pain from the senseless atrocity that has hit our wonderful United States of America.
Please pray for all the poor souls that slowly died by burning to death, crushed to death, falling to death.
Please pray for all the survivors suffering the awful pain of burns, broken bones and shock.
Please pray for all the wives, husbands, daughters, sons, mothers, wifes, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends of all the poor souls that were murdered and injured and missing.
Please pray for all the firemen that ran into the tower of fire to save others' lives at the risk and loss of their own.
They say they are just doing their job and that they are not heros, but they are. they are heroic angels.
Please pray for all the policemen, emergency personnel, civilians that ran to the tower of fire to help others at the expense of their own lives.
As I watch the television news today, please pray for all the poor family members that are roaming the streets of New York by foot, looking for their missing loved ones. My heart is breaking.
Please pray for those poor family members that can't reach New York to be closer to look and be with their loved ones because all airline flights are down.
Please pray for all Americans that are watching and have watched these horrific, terrorist scenes and need to be consoled, comforted, hugged, loved, healed.
Please pray for all the children, mothers, fathers that are falsely being spewed with vomite of hate because of ethnicity, means of worship, clothing, speech or habits.
Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all love and worship God. But a very few weak-minded people falsely hide and falsely twist and falsely represent a faith and vomit hate and want to blame and hurt and hate everyone that looks different from them, that worships different from them. There are also weak minded people that want to believe this vomit.
What would you have done if you were an American of Japanese ethnicity during World War II and was sent to special camps?
What would you do if you lived in Germany preceding and during World War II and saw people of certain ethnicity were treated differently, enslaved, tortured, murdered?
What would you do if you saw where people were not allowed to eat at the same food counter, sit only in the back of the bus, threatened, tortured, hated by many people. What if you had laws that only allowed you to drink at certain water fountains, go to certain restrooms, work certain jobs?
Who did you first think blew up te Oklakoma building.
Pray for all the children at school today that may be falsely accused of being a terrorist because of their ethnicity, the color of their skin, their faith, their language. What are you going to do when you see this injustice? Will you be a stand-up guy?
Or will you be weak-minded, and follow the bully?
Please pray for us all.
Sincerely, RaySharpton

Hi Kermit!
Just wanted to say "thanks" to one and all for the prayers for my mom's back. She is better--although the ride home may have been a little rough. We wondered about even going on this trip because of her back but each week she seemed better and better. She is not fine but much better and I think you can take her off now. I know she appreciated all the prayers and thoughts from each of you. Thanks again,

It's been a while since I've opened this thread. I pray for all my DIS friends and say an extra prayer on Sunday morning during our service's time for silent prayer. Thanks Amy so much for keeping this list current. Sometimes I lose track of what's happening in the lives of my DIS family. I need to be reminded that I am blessed and that there are those much less fortunate than me who need prayers and support. When Tuffcookie's dad passed away, I was able to go to calling hours. When she saw me and my wife there, her face lit up. She introduced me to her mom and to her older son, neither of whom I had had the pleasure of meeting before. She told them that I was one of her "Disney friends from the internet". At that moment, I knew that I had brought a little joy into her life at a time when she needed a lift. And you know what? That joy came back to me tenfold. What a blessing that we can hold each other in prayer, that we can comfort one another during times of sadness, and that we can share in each others joy. That's what it's all about, isn't it.
I continue to keep my DIS family in my thoughts and prayers always. No matter where you are or what you're going through, you are always in my thoughts.
Amy, thank you and I'm sending a special prayer of comfort your way.

Sometimes in the hurry of the day - we forget that there is someone hurting
a lot more than we ourselves are hurting - just as the moment as I read the request for prays did I realize the hope so many have - for without hope/faith there is no tomorrow - so just for the moment all prayers that are requested - here is to long
prayer chain that badness is prayed out and goodness and health
prayed in -----May God bless each of you super good.
With thoughts and prayers

I'm on my way out the door to teach a class for little children (well, 1st - 5th graders). This class is called Jesus, The one and only. Please say a prayer for me during this 6 week study. The responsibility we have to children is enormous and sometimes overwhelms me.
Thanks!!
Update: :) The 1st class went great. It was a fast hour. The kids were very bright and well-behaved. 6 weeks will do me but I think I'm going to like it! :)
Buckalew: it is a wonderful thing you do to teach children. You are in my prayers.

If I may be selfish & beg you to also add my mother Margo on your prayer list. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer) & come to find out, she's had it so long that she looks like she has osteoporosis (curviture of the spine). Her spine is actually compressing due to all the tumors. She has had to receive many blood transfusions both as an inpatient & outpatient due to her hemoglobin being down to 5 (norm is 12 & at "8" people need blood...at 5 it's very dangerous). She is currently going through chemotherapy to help slow down the cancer but we won't know for a while if the chemo is helping or not.
I could probably count on one hand how many times my mother has been ill in her lifetime...but this is a biggy & I'm not dealing well with this at all. My mom has eaten very healthy all her life, never smoked or drank & rarely has anything fried or anything sweet even! She has been a very hard worker, so she has been very physically active....this is just unbelievable. Mom has been stronger than me. She's been consoling me! (I'm on meds now & thankfully I don't cry in front of her anymore!) :(
So please......please, I beg of you to pray for her. I just don't want her to suffer. Please ask our dear Lord to save her, heal her, as He's got the power to do just that.
Thank you dear Dis family.

Just to let you all know that my foster Mum's daughter, Frannie, passed away at 2.30pm this afternoon. The whole family is devastated and I am having trouble holding it all together. The pain I feel at the moment is absolutely unbearable but I'm trying to deal with my 8 year old DS's grief too which is very hard.
For those of you who haven't read my posts before, could I please ask you to read this and give thanks for Frannie's life? I'm sorry it is a bit long but I believe she deserves to have as many people as possible know what a wonderful human being she was.
I was fostered in 1959 at the age of 6 months old to a wonderful lady and her husband and daughter. The lady was Sarah Ann, her husband Joe and one of their two daughters, Frannie. We originally lived in Dagenham, Essex but they moved shortly after I arrived to Brightlingsea in Essex where Frannie had got a nursing job at a nearby hospital nursing the elderly. Sadly Joe died soon after the move. Frannie's life was completely dedicated to helping others. She never married but fulfilled her maternal needs through her own Mum's foster children. When I returned to my biological parents at the age of 5 years old I kept in touch with "Mum" and Frannie. My biological mother has never once, in the last 38 years showed me the amount of love that those two women did in my first 5 years, and since. They celebrated the joy I felt when I met my future husband when I was just 14 years old. In 1984 "Mum" died by which time she was in her late 70s. Her loss left a huge void in my life but I still had Frannie. Frannie had sadly had to give up the job she loved about 20 years ago when the Crohn's disease worsened. By the time she retired, she had reached the position of Senior Sister in the hospital. Frannie was there through my series of miscarriages but shared my joy when my son was born. She has been a constant in his life and they adored each other.
The only link I have left now is "Auntie Fran", "Mum's" sister and Frannie's aunt. She is now 83 and though she is in wonderful health for her age, I fear that her niece's death will take its toll. They were more like sisters really, as Frannie was 69. They used to take holidays together after "Mum" died and have always been very close.
If you have made it this far, thank you. I'm sorry it is so long, but it was a life worth giving thanks for, even if you didn't know her personally.

Dear Jackie,
I enjoyed reading about every precious memory. My deepest sympathy to you & Frannie's family. You are so blessed to have had these people (your other family) in your life. Sounds like they were hand picked by God for you. Please carry their memory on to your son now.
Lots of ((((((hugs))))))) are being sent your way.

Jackie.....My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family, ...and for your comfort and strenght.
It strikes me that there are so many things of beauty in life and in the world...but most are fleeting and fail..
..but from the type of person it sounds as Frannie was...that is a type of beauty that truely is eternal and that outlasts all that we cherish here. Let that knowledge and belief comfort you in times of fear, woe and uncertainty...I believe, you shall see Frannie again.

Would you kindly add my oldest brother to the list of people to pray for?
He's been battling a bone disease for nearly 20 years now. for which he's needed to take massive doses of medication.
We just found out that all those drugs have caused cirrohsis in his liver. He is on the list for a transplant, since his doctor is now saying that without one, he isn't likely to live more than a couple more years.
We didn't expect to have him around until old age because of his bone problems, but he's only 52 now. His youngest child hasn't finished high school. We'd like to see him live at least long enough to see all three of his kids finish college.
Prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am posting a request for a little 7yo girl who lives in my town named Brendle. She has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer--stage 5. They flew her to St. Jude's in Memphis last week. They are doing double doses of adult chemo on her. Otherwise the doctors said they could only keep her comfortable. Please pray for this little girl. She must be so scared. It all happened very suddenly. The weekend before she was competing in a gymnastics meet! Her parents must be crushed and also must remain hopeful of a miracle. Pray for God's will to be done and that they may have help in accepting the outcome. Thank you all.:(

Her name is Leigha
She is 8 years old, and will be 9 on Valentines day. Please pray for her. She was sent to Duke this morning in excruciating pain. They were to have started her chemo today, but it looks like it may not happen until Wednesday. She has Neuro-Blastoma Cancer. A cancer of the nervous system. She has lesions in her bones...its in her blood, and they have found a tumor in her spine. It seems to be spreading very fast. Everyone has hope, but it will be a long hard battle.

Good thoughts and well wishes to all that need support.
Verandah Man, my mother, 76, has had her hips done three times, most recently a year ago. She still walks fine is barely limited in what activities she can do. Your wife is young and will do fine. In fact, once she recovers, which really isn't a long time, she will feel so much better.
I am asking for immediate supportful thoughts for a friend's daughter that was in an accident yesterday. Today, right now, she is going through facial reconstructive surgery, two plates under eyes and two more in her jaw and then her jaw will be wired shut.
This is just one step of many towards her recovery.

Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts, we are back from the funeral today and it was a beautiful memorial, my uncle was a Vietnam war veteran and they did a traditional soldier's memorial for him. The family is holding up as well as can be expected, my grandma is taking it very hard...my grandpa died only 11 months ago and so it made it all the harder on all of us. Again thank you so much, but I know he is up in heaven having a time with my grandpa, and someday we will all meet again.

I'd like to ask for you guys' prayers for our daughter as she undergoes surgery tomorrow. She has a birth defect where her midface area doesn't advance properly. She is going to have a device put on to help pull her midface out over several weeks. However, she has a history of seizures, and even had one this past week.
Here's hoping everyone has a great week.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my daughter is doing well. She will be in the hospital for a few more days, but the procedure she had done has already helped a lot. They did trache her due to her seizure activity, and we're real hopeful that when her face is done from this procedure, her breathing will be normal now. thanks for the prayers and pixie dust.

Just received a call from my sister. Her 8 year old son was admitted to the emergency room late last night. He woke up with stomach pain and was throwing up.
I just heard from her. Looks as though one of his kidneys is blocked. The doctor doesn't think this one kidney has ever worked.
:(
Looks as though they will have to remove the kidney. This poor little boy suffers with some learning disabilities as well and has always struggled. Kids at school are rude to him and it breaks my heart.
Any prayers you can send for "Kody" is greatly appreciated.
Thank you everyone.

My mother was diagnosed with an uncommong form of arthritis when she was 15. Over the years, it has caused her the top of her spinal column to fuse with calcium deposits. This has caused her neck/head to curve to the point that she is cannot see anyone from the waist up unless she leans back. Today she is in Cleveland (a 7 hour trip from our home) having her neck broken and a metal rod placed in her spine so that she can stand upright. Please keep her in your prayers. She has had three hip replacements due to the pressure placed on her body and her knees are giving her problems. After the surgery she will be in a body cast and a halo for three months. I'm praying that this helps improve her quality of life. She just turned 59 two weeks ago. Thanks everyone.

Please keep my father in your thoughts and prayers. He was just recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He's 57 and otherwise in good health. I've been looking at information on the internet, but if anyone has any info or advice that would be helpful. He's still in the process of getting more tests then has to decide how to proceed. Thanks for listening.

Minnie, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 7 years ago at the age of 68. He had surgery which went beautifully and needed no radiation or chemo. He has yearly checkups and is cancer-free. He had never been sick before that, and he is our rock, and it was horrible for us all. The day we went to the hospital (the night before his surgery) we got out of the car after a two hour drive to the regional med center, and there over our heads was a double rainbow. I knew that was our sign that he would be okay, and so far, so good. Prostate cancer, if caught in the early stages, is highly curable. Good luck.
Please, everyone, include my young friend Christian in your prayers. He has just turned six, and is battling leukemia. He has endured radiation, chemo, and a bone marrow transplant. He comes from a family that has endured more than their share of grief but kept their faith. They can use your prayers.

prayers and pixie dust! I have a request if it all possible please pray for the doctor's and nurses working on the children at the Philadelphia childrens hospital please pray for them to have the wisdom to help these children.A friends beautiful daughter who never ever had a problem went for a sports physical and the doctor detected a murmur never before heard, her parents took her to a referred heart doctor whre they were told she had cardio myopathy and needed a heart transplant:( she was then taken to CHOP Where surgeons placed a pump on her heart to help it beat correctly they were then told that it wasnt urgent so she was placed on the regular floor to await the perfect heart. Sadly she has developed pneaumonia and a yeast infection of the blood she has suffered strokes they have her on heparin to help the strokes but she is bleeding from that when they take her of the heparin to control the bleeding she suffers another stroke:( she has lost her sight the doctors are optimistic that will return. So please please please send some prayers and pixie dust towards Childrens hospital of philadelphia and to the doc's to give them the wisdom to see an help th children this little girl just a month and half ago was a bright vibrant very active child, now hr and her family have literally been thrown into this nightmare.:( and there are so many other children there in dire straights:( so that is why I request prayers and pixie dust for the doctors to give them wisdom and vision to help not just my friends daughter butall the children there.Thank you all so much. My Grandfather and My Mother both need some prayers and Pixie Dust.
My grandfather, 76 was in a near fatal car accident on Thursday August 7- It has been 1 week and he has not improved. His arm was shattered and now has a metal plate in it. His nose was broken and his face was split from forehead to the tip of his nose. He has now suffered a number of strokes while in hospital. He has lived a wonderfully full life and is such a kind gentle man. His memory is failing and he doesn't know who my mother is. He thinks that I am the daughter he lost about 8 years ago. I have never felt the need to request prayers from friends or strangers but everyone here on the Dis Boards is so kind and there can really never be enough prayer for those who need it.
My mother, who often lurks on these boards disguised as me, is struggling with my Grandfather's condition. She needs strength to get through this. He is really all of her family- we lost her stepmom of 50 years this past Easter. Her brother hasn't been able to make it to this side of the country.
Please, send prayers and pixie dust to these two wonderful people.
Thank you.

I'm not sure if anyone read this thread or included my Grandfather and my mother in their prayers but it really has been a miracle. The day after I posted this my grandfather seemed to completely turn around. My mother went to visit him and It was almost like nothing happened to him. He is responsive, he recognizes everyone, he can talk now... Thank you to anyone who kept them in your prayers.

Hello,
I would like to ask for some prayers. My wife, 2 sons (9 & 7), my 2 year old daughter, and myself were supposed to go to Disney back at the beginning of febuary. We didn't make it because my wife was diagnosed with a rare leukemia. Sue passed away at the beginning of july and I'm not doing very well. She was my whole world. I'm doing the best I can with the kids, I have family close and that helps. My work is sending me and the kids to Disney in november, but I can't look forward to it as the pain in my heart is too great.
I ask for any prayers to heal my broken heart, and help in raising my children alone.
Thanks
