HAS ANYONE GOTTEN A BETTER RATE THAN $234 FOR THE CONTEMPORARY? I HAVE THE DC AND GOT THE STANDARD 10% OFF, BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO ANY BETTER.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

That seems kind of high. Is that for the garden wing or the tower? And what time of the year are you going?

I know just recently someone posted getting $139 for the Contemporary garden wing. However, I don't know if that was an upsell, or code special or AP or what. You might want to try doing a search on the resorts board for Contemporary rates. Good luck! :)

It is difficult to tell if you have a good rate or not - that actually could be a very good rate for the tower in peak time.

If you could give more info about time of year - type of room -etc....

We could help more.

P.S. You may want to turn off you cap lock on your keyboard. All CAPS is considered YELLING on message boards.

See Ya!

WDW Trekker - Thanks for the advice.

The room rate at the Contemporary was for a garden room in June--no frills. We went a couple of years ago and stayed there for $159 per night. I was hoping to find something similar to that.

I'm staying in June too. My current rate for a garden wing standard room is 271.50. There are 3 adults in the party and one child so we had an additional charge for the extra adult. I think my rate is kinda high too but I'm going to stick it out until I can find a better deal.

I'm not in a 'target' group for the discounts, so I won't be getting a special code, just relying on my DC.

If you get a better rate, let me know how you did it. I'd love to cut down on some of the cost for my 1st trip to WDW.

looks like you got about a 15% discount. I was wondewring if you had a special reason to stay at the Contemporary. We have thought about it also...

WDW Trekker - We stayed at the Contemporary a few years ago and loved it. We have 3 kids and it is just so much easier to get around with the monorail right there--not so much waiting. The rooms are much larger also. The pools are boring, but we go for the park not the pools.
