at one of the rewards sites I do you can trade in your points for a referals.

this was the first time I had a referal on any program...

so I got my referal so in the #1 spot was a 1

then on the next line it said 18

third line was something like 20

and so on

what do these numbers mean?

I feel dumb asking this and I hope its ok to ask about referals I know asking for referals is a touchy subject!!

Well, I don't do that site, I guess. But I would say that means you have x number of people below you in each spot.

I could be wrong, as I'm not familiar with a program that does that.

Yep, that would be your downline's (referral's) downline, so it appears you have a good leg there.

Unlike another PTC I did that with all my referrals, closed my account (they had a virus on their site, so I stopped for a week) and now they don't return emails.
