I don't think this article is very credible.

Does the incredability lie with the person making the claim or the idea that Disney would consider locating a park there?

I know that many businessess have been looking at how to position theselves in this market. Lots of poverty sure, but many believe as a developing country it is much more lucrative than China. Already has a much bigger class of people with a reasonable level of disposable income and a decent technical workpool for construction projects etc. honoring intellectual property rights is still an issue there, but if they are just replicating classic DL attractions that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I figured they would be looking at South America after they were done with Asia, but hey if some Indian cartel was willing to plunk down some serious dough why wouldn't they take a look at it?

The idea of Disney putting a theme park there makes sense, but the author of the article obviously didn't know what s/He was talking about.

Thanks for posting it though, I'll keep an eye open for more reports about a possible third Asian resort.

AS someone who knows the Indian culture, dont think so....


Remember the country of India is still a third world country, with electricity rationing and water filtering issues even in the big cities (ie New Delhi)

Electricity goes out all the time, and you need to boil water even in good parts of the big city...

Can you just imagine it?

And phone outtages all the time.
