City council has just rejected an appeal by Anaheim residents against the third Anaheim park, and the project continues. An environmental impact report is due later this summer.

Now if they could just figure out what type of park they're planning things would be peachy...

Eisner will Design it himself. It will make actual attractions seem lame. :)

YoHo! If Ei$ner designs it, what makes you think it will have any attractions? Restaurants and shops - Yes! Neon and huge icons - Yes! Attractions? - Well....

Landbaron, you missed it, remember the whole brohaha over Ei$ner claiming to have designed the parking structures himself?

I was attempting to inject a very small amount of humour that the parking structures would be so incredibly cool, that there wouldn't need to be any attractions.

Whoa, better et damage control in here, Disneylands numbers will surely drop as nobody will want to leave the parkinglot. :)

Ooh, does this mean everything will be designed backwards too?

(continuing on parking garage humor....)

LOL!! :)

I did indeed miss it!! Very good!!

YoHo, are you sure you don't want me to move over so you can take the wheel of car number 3 yourself for a while? ;)

Another parking lot? Gee, I just got done signing up for this really cool carpool. You mean I didn't need to, and there will be plenty of parking spaces after-all?

I was not surprised to see they rejected the claim. Didn't they pretty much signal this by saying that the real time to review pros/cons would be when the enviromental impact study was complete. Now, whether they will actually give these people their ear at this time will be intersting to see. I think this group has had some influence before.

I assume that they don't need to be too specific about what is inside the gates in order to complete the environmental study?

Of course, we know this is all a cover. It is really a DIS front to get them to reveal what type of park they plan to build. Just think of the rumor discussion it will. create.

Ahhh thedscoop

Finally, something Disney that we can both sink our teeth into and agree on. Disney's World of BBQ. I can just see, I mean smell, the possibilities.

I remember seeing some concept art for this many years ago, after Disney America got canned. Eisner was still interested in finding some piece of pure Americana to build a new theme park around. This was one of the proposals and I'm glad to see it might finally be getting onto the drawing board.

However, if they are going to do it, no cheaping out this time. It needs to open with all four of the lands, that cover the four major culinary styles: Texas, Midwest, Carolina, and Southern. These were all in the original park layout abstracts.

This is really where all those rumors come from about Disney possibly buying land outside of Houston, or Memphis. They hear something about a proposed attraction for Texas and assume it's a new park.

I also want a good share of the new e tickets rides, not just a bunch of films on the correct way to build and maintain a firebox, or baste your meat.

The park weenie would of course be "Fire Mountain". Not the wimpy version some have described, but the real version. You know, the one that resembles a giant BBQ pit with the shape of a pig's head on top. Inside would be the much anticipated Hickory Chip Log Ride. I have always thought this ride has some of their best imagineering work to date.

Let me see if I can dig up any more details. I think I filed something away with some old sauce recipes. I'll get back to you.

Actually, based on the wild rumors elsewhere on this board that Disney and Microsoft are discussing merger, it will probably be their first venture together--the anti-TRUST US ON THIS ONE PARK.
