This is my first post to dis boards. I would like to say that the disboards are the absolute best way of planning a vacation. You guys are so great and I have learned so much. We are planning our second trip to Orlando Sept. 24-Oct1. The first trip we did all the Disney parks, this time we are just planning to do Universal parks and Seaworld and maybe a water park. WE have ressies at Cypress Pt. Grand Villas, do you know of another resort like CPGV that is closer to those parks or does it matter?

Welcome to the DisBoards!
Westgate is slightly closer. I have stayed at Cypress Pointe 3 times in the past year & we are Annual Passholders at Universal & Gold Passport members to Sea World. I think CP is very convenient for driving to Universal. Take Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Rd all the way (crossing over Sand Lake Rd) until you see the sign for Universal, turn right & you are on Universal Property. Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Rd it is one straight drive, runs basically parrallel to I4 at times & is also a short cut to Sea World from CP. You have picked a great resort as far as convenience to the parks you will be visiting.
As far as a Water Park, I would go for one of the ones at Disney. Last year we had the water park annual pass ($100 for adults & $90 for kids, I think) Typhoon Lagoon is closest to CP with Blizzard Beach only slightly further.
