I know you ladies will share my excitement here! My DS (16 going on 17) came home from a 2 week trek in New Mexico with Boy Scouts last night.

This trip had been in the planning stages for 2 years and much of his gear had come in the form of Christmas and birthday presents over that time. Including a special small, very lightweight yet waterproof camera that we'd learned about. It uses APS film so I searched my sources and found 40 shot rolls so he'd have more shots with fewer canisters, etc. etc. etc.

However, when he left I thought well if he comes home with a roll he took I'll be happy, 2 will make me ecstatic.

Drumroll please.......

This morning on my way to work I dropped off 5, count 'em 5 rolls totalling 185 exposures at my LSS. Can't wait to pick them up on the way home. And he still has a partial roll in the camera!

That's my boy!

Yeah, I know you were wondering if he would take any. Now just think, you have 185 pictures to scrap!!! Hope you have him help you.

And one of his troop mate's mom is my original scrapping buddy. We had already agreed to make doubles and swap so we'll have even more.

He'll have to help me figure out places, and who is who, etc. And my even hang out with me but as for actual scrapping...that would be TOO much to hope for. And actually not really necessary. ;)

I send my KIDS off to scout camp with cameras all the time! Results vary depending on which boy and where they go!!!

I hope that the pictures come out great!!!

Curious, what camera is it? I have a small waterproof APS camera also.

My DH and I just came back from BS Camp we've gone with them for the last 3 years our van takes all the backpacks (we are a sm troop-10 boys). So I've been on the hunt for new scrapbook supplies and I have to say yesterday I hit the Motherload. Alot of different papers are out this year.

Good luck and hope all the pictures come out. I have to tell you my sons would not have taken any pictures that is for sure.

Paulinewdw - it is a Canon Elph Sport.

We picked the pics up Thursday afternoon and they are fantastic! We only tossed 2 out of the 185 that were completely duds (you know the oops clicked the button as he was taking it out of the case sort of thing).

Immediately we sorted out one set for the trade I mentioned above and another set for the expedition leader (he is collecting from everyone and will put a CD together of everything from everyone for us). So yes, that means I had 3 sets printed. I generally get doubles anyway because my LSS charges next to nothing for printing each extra set at the time of developing.

His set we slipped into a photo safe sleeve album so he can show them to people right away. It will take awhile to scrap this trip.
