sizzix alphabet

I am posting here, well quite frankly because I don't think anyone else will be able to understand my dissappointment!

I have been slowly (a 40% off coupon at a time) purchasing the sizzix alphabet fun serif. I am about half way through the alphabet...so I go to my local Michaels to pick up another letter...and they are all gone! The sales clerk said that sizzix called them all in! Now I only have half an alphabet with no real prospects for finishing!

I went to the sizzix web site...but they didn't have them listed...I'll call in the morning to see if anyone can help me out with finishing the set.

That's odd- I noticed that the complete sets are on sale this week too. DH gave me the fun serif set for Christmas last year.

I wonder why they called them back. :confused:

I remember hearing that sizzix was discontinuing the sale of individual letters a while back, maybe late last year. So that's why you won't find many individual letters around. I suggest you try ebay. You may not be able to find the individual letters but you could probably get a really good deal on the whole set. (Then you can go and sell your individual letters on ebay. I'm sure there are others in your same situation.)

Oh, I'm sorry!! That's really bad marketing from Sizzix. There should have been some type of warning. I visit the site every Tuesday for the Tuesday Teasers and didn't see anything about discontinuing it. Then again, I wasn't looking for it either. But that's just a bad idea on their part. They could be alienating future buyers.

I'm from Mexico and we have a store that sale individual letters.The link dosen't work right now, but send me an email if you want them or maybe you want to see the link first.The alphabet dies cost like $13.00 each.
