We are traveling to Orlando the third week of August, where we will spend 4 days at OKW and visit Universal Studios. As an afterthought, I researched Seaworld as we have never been, and I read so many reviews on this board that said how relaxing the park is after the others.
I booked a room at Residence Inn for the weekend, figuring it would be a nice way to end the week, but now I am rethinking the $$. Has anyone stayed at the Residence Inn?
In a moment of impulsiveness I also made ressies for the Luau. <sigh> Now I'm considering cancelling them, although i think DD8 and DS5 might enjoy it.
Any suggestions/insight would be appreciated!

I am also seriously considering the Residence Inn near Seaworld. There are many positive reviews about it on www.tripadvisor.com. It appears to be nice, clean, has a zero entry pool, breakfast is included, and there's a Pizza Hut by the pool (my DS would be in heaven). We plan on just doing DC and SW and use the I-ride trolley to get around. I'm plannig to do dine with Shamu rather than the Luau.
However, the cheapest rate I could get for our October trip is $134 a night. Sorry to ramble. I'll be interested in knowing what you decide.

Anyone out there have experience with Residence Inn SW that you can share with us?

:)
Just stayed there 2 nights while my DS17 and his girlfriend went to DC. Excuse me now if this gets long but I could go on and on about how nice it was. I left a fairly detailed report on tripadvisor.com also. The very best $$ I have ever spent on a hotel room ever!!! You may want to do a little searching on Marriots site for discounts. Initially I was quoted $114? + tax. To me that was alot to spend on what I hadn't seen before. Poking around I found the code P50 to use, it brought our rate down to $82.50 per night including tax!!! We had a studio with 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa. Full kitchen. They were painting areas in that hotel that I wouldn't dream of touching up!! Laundry area is large and was the cheapest I ran across all vacation! They will also go to the Publix nearby for you and they do not charge for this service. We did not use this as we had a car though. The store is about a 5 minute drive, past the SW/DC entrances on the same side as DC. You can PM me if you have any other ?'s.

Thank you, ajksmom. I'm headed to Marriott's website now to try and find a discount.

I found your review at Trip Advisor, and it was very helpful. I can't wait to stay at Residence Inn now!
