Reading through the threads on these italian bracelets....I have a few questions.....Can you use the add a link (cheaper charms) with the stainless bracelet (the one with Mickey heads on each link) and how many links make up a 7" bracelet. Are they hard to attach? What is the cost at Disney? I have seen some on Ebay.

I bought some of my early charms at DTD (for the discount) but I've been going to eBay for charms that have been 'retired'. Sometimes they're not retired- it's just that World of Disney doesn't carry all of the charms.

I suppose that you could use the 'add a link' charms on your stainless bracelet, but you might want to be aware that there's a possibility that the finish would wear off. I've been getting the stainless steel charms that are stamped that way.

As to how many links make up a 7" bracelet- it would depend on how snug or loose you want it to fit.

I hope that this helps with some of your questions........

I forgot to add that there are italian charm tools to help you add or remove or move them around on the bracelet.

I was really frustrated with adding charms to mine- but as I've gotton better at it; it's easier.

I sell Zoppini charms in my gift store in GA. The standard finished bracelet size is 17 links - the starter bracelets are 14 links (all brands are the same size) that will make a standard 7" bracelet. If they have a larger wrist you may need 18 or 19 links. As for the tool, I've sold over $200,000 worth of these devils - so I can make them in my sleep. However, for the novice - don't pay for a "tool" the other ladies that work for me in the store that have a difficult time use a small eyeglasses screwdriver - works the same. Hope all this helps!!!

I also am a charm-aholic! I have the tool but dont usually use it, once you get used to doing it its a breeze, you can use tweezers too. But I got the tool at Claires for $1.50. I have bought tons of charms from Ebay in all price ranges and have Disney charms from WDw as well, they all fit together. The only time I have had a problem was if the face of the charm is high its a little tough to attatch. I know Disney has a starter for about 8.00, I wouldnt pay anything over that, eventually you will replace the whol starter with your charms so there is no need to spend a fortune on the starter. Shop around on ebay for the sellers who have the best deals on shipping and buy a starter for 3 or 4 bucks, thats all you need to start with.

Unfortunately, I don't. However, Disneystore.com now has a small selection of them. If you want to see the full line, I know a web site that my friend uses: bellalinks.com (http://bellalinks.com) I always just buy mine at World of Disney when I'm in WDW. This site charges a little more (like $2.00) per charm - plus shipping, but if you can't get it any other way, it's worth it!!

Also, ceecee - Yes, you need the stainless steel links they are not expensive. If not they will rust on you. They only cost about $6-$8 from Zoppini - but we give them away with the purchase of 3 or more charms. Most stores use these as promotions. I rarely sell one at full price.:wave2:
