Hi everyone!

I have some mickey head eyelets, I never used eyelets before and have no clue how to use them.

I think I read somewhere that they are too big for the Making Memmories tool kit that is sold at Michaels. Is this true?
What are the exact tool(s) I need to purchase to use them?

Thanks

I'm sure someone else will be a bigger help with this than me because I can't remember the exact names! There is a kit in a tin that you can get by...Creative Memories...I believe. It has everything in it you Need. Which is basically a little hammer, and then the part that "squishes" the eyelet. It's this long metal rod with interchangeable ends (for the different sized eyelets). If you have a scrapbook store near you they'll know exactly what you need. Also a piece of wood or some other "block" is good to have because the eyelets can dent desks, etc.

Chances are it is Making Memories...I don't think Cm has gotten into metal and eyelets!

Hi, I had a problem with those eyelets. Mickeys ears would always bend back. I was using the Making Memories set too.
I asked on here and someone told me there was a universal eyelet setter kit. I finally have it. It sells for $10 and got it with a coupon at AC Moore. (Micheals or Ragshop didn't carry it in stock) It still doesn't look "perfect", but it's definately better than it was. I found it helps with all the shaped eyelets.
You can do a web search on Making Memories Universal Eyelet setter. You'll see a lot of online stores have them too.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info.

One more question:

Do I need to purchase both the Making Memories Tool Kit and the Universal Eyelet Setter or Do I just need the Universal Eyelet Setter?

The Universal setter is all you need. I bought it the other way around so I needed both.
