Help! I'm on phase 1 of the Beach and can't stomach the V-8 juice. Is there anything I can substitute for it?

I'm not familar with the specifics of the South Beach diet, but I am trying to do Atkins/controlled carb.

I like the diet V-8 SPLASH product. Forget the exact flavor, but IIRC, it is 3g carb per 8 oz serving. The flavor is more like a berry juice drink than tomato juice and it has quite a few vitamins in it. Might be worth trying to see if you like it and if it is OK for SB. I use it instead of orange juice in the morning.

Looked at my diet V-8 Splash container last night. It is 10 calories and 3g of carbs per 8 ounces. The flavor is strawberry-kiwi. As far as I know, it comes in 16 oz "single" serving size and in the 64 oz size.

I never liked V8 or Tomato juice, but I was an orange juice junkie. How about sugar-free Crystal Light or sugar-free Tang or iced tea?

You don't actually have to have the V-8 with your breakfast. I never used the menus in the book. I just followed the allowable foods list.
