Good afternoon firmies!!! I just finished Calorie Killer. I think I'll make it Calorie Killer Monday's :hyper: It makes me feel really good and what a great way to start off a new week.
I hope everyone is having a great day today :wave2:
FIRMIES!
Yesterday, I did Cardio Sculpt, but I pooped out during the ab section at the end. Today, I did Total Body Shaping Mix. It went pretty well & I was drenched in sweat half way thru the tape. But I finished all 67 minutes of it. So I kept my 3-day weekend promise to do 3 long tapes. Tomorrow, it's back to work & shorter tapes. I think I'll start with my Monday favorite, Cardio Sculpt Blaster.
During errands, I made a detour to the nearest K-Mart, in the continuing quest for a reasonably priced Calorie Killer. The selection at the K-Mart was THE PITS! No FIRM on DVDs or VHS. The quest continues or I may just breakdown & spend full price! YIKES
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Good evening everyone!
bicker - welcome back!!!!!
Good job everyone else. I love hearing about your routines. They inspire me!!!
This morning I did cardio sculpt blaster.
Tracy - congrats on your six month exercise clippie!! That's a big accomplishment!
FIRMIES!
A Monday AM tradition - Cardio Sculpt Blaster w/ Lisa Kaye. My best footwork, to date, with this tape.
Welcome back Bicker! DH (who does some FIRM tapes, but is not active on this thread) and I had just wondered if you were still FIRMing.
I'm off to walmart.com to follow up on sm4987's suggestion.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Good morning FIRMies!
This morning I did super body sculpt with Stephanie Corley. Thos leg presses are murder but I know they are effective so I'll stop griping.
Sunday was my last weigh in before I started the scale challenge and I'm down 3 pounds for all time low weight for me of 214.5! I'm so close to onderland that I can just taste it so I'm actually glad I won't be weighing these next couple of weeks so I won't be driving myself crazy.
sue - I hope you find CK at walmart.com. You have been searching high and low for this tape so I hope you get it today.
Happy Tuesday to everyone and I hope you are all able to get in your work outs!

Good morning all my firm buddies. I did body sculpt with Jen today. I don't do it very often, but I think I should. Not using the sculpting stick definately gives your muscles another kind of workout. Leg press is a real challenge, but I was up to it.
Hope eveyone has a wonderful day.

sue- I found it on amazon.com. Just type in calorie killer and make sure you look under vhs. I found a seller selling it for 6.50 I believe. That is a great deal.

OK now I'm in the right place. Sunday was my rest day, it was great, coffee, sunday paper, wdw promo video.
You know those couple of days I cheated really killed me. I felt awful. Monday was Emily and today was my fav Allie. Doing the hour long tapes really made me feel better after eating all that junk. But I was so thinking of you guys, I really didn't want to work out but I rembered just do it and you'll feel better after and of course I did. I should be able to check in again this week.

Good evening everyone-
I hope everybody had a great Holiday weekend!:teeth:
Tonight was treadmill- but we I was done- I decided to try out Ab Sculpt with Lisa Kay. I think I may start to add a short Firm workout after the treadmill- like Abs or maybe upper Body-I guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
Tracy- Way to go on the 6 month clippie:Pinkbounc
Bicker- I'm new here myself- but welcome back:sunny:
sm4987- Body Sculpt is the one of the set I have not tried yet- I was kind of following the schedule with the set- but I did watch it-I was thinking of adding the upper body part to my treadmill days. And that way I could avoid leg presses. :hyper:
Sueg- hope you find that Calorie Killer soon.
Lisa- Good luck with your scale challenge. Wouldn't it be great to find yourself in Onderland at the end of the challenge
sk's mom- glad you could check in - hope things are looking up for you.:flower1:
Have a great evening everyone.

Good morning FIRMies!
Today was the first time I did the DVD that s&k's mom sent me (Thanks s&k's mom! Sending you a PM) and I love it! It's Lower Body Sculpt 1 and it's with Lisa. What a great routine! My legs will feel it tomorrow. ::yes::
So, what do I love about this video? I think first and foremost is that Lisa is so encouraging and :sunny: . The moves in the video are challenging and it helps to have someone who is :teeth: . I also like the variety of moves. There is a move called the curtsy dip that is great! Lot of leg presses:crazy2:, but overall a great video!
Tomorrow I will do the Upper Body section of Body Sculpt to balance out the entire body routine. Oh and since I didn't post yesterday... I did Cardio Sculpt Blaster.
Feeling good and heading into today with a :teeth: on my face.

Good morning Firmies!
I took a rest day this morning. I usually take Wednesdays off when I aim for Thursdays. But I'm listening to my body. Tomorrow I'll be back at it and may even sneak in the ab part of super body sculpt because I've never done it before and it's only 15 minutes. I'll let you all know if I do.
Tracy - your post made me smile. You sound so upbeat today! Good for you!!!! You also made your new DVD work out sound great, until you mentioned all those leg presses - no thanks! Anyway, you're doing great girlie, keep up the fantastic work!!!!
gadizlover - I like doing the ab sculpt with Lisa Kay. I've also got an ab segment on super body sculpt that I'm thinking of trying tonight. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can hit onderland by the time I weigh in next month. That would be awesome! But I'll settle with hitting my third 10% goal which would be 207. We'll see. Thanks for the support!!!!
s&k'smom - good for you with your "just do it" attitude. You're doing great, keep up the wonderful work!!!!
Sherri - you did body sculpt with Jen! Wow! I think that's an intense body sculpt work out. I like super body sculpt a little better but I think it's because Jen is my least favorite instructor. Good job with your work outs!!!!!! Let's be strong and stay off the scale too!
FIRMIES!
I'm not sure why, but I took this AM off. I used to have a set day off -Thursday- but since I lost the reason for that set day off, my off days have sort of resulted from whim.
I think I own Lower Body Sculpt 1, if it is the DVD that came with Body Sculpt Blaster (Nancy needa burger)in the firmdirect special. I haven't opened it yet, but tomorrow may be the day, after your seal of approval, toystoryduo!
Thanks, sm4987, for the tip on Calorie Killer. The Amazon price is better than the overstock.com price of $8.79 (VHS) or $13.39 (DVD). Plus my oldest DS is an Amazon fanatic & if I tie to one of his orders, I'll get free shipping.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

This am I did my karen voight tape, which I really like because she really explains everything well. I was feeling a little depressed this am so I didn't put to much effort into it but I did feel better once I did it, and while I'm whining why is it I must gain 10 pounds of water weight during you know what. OK feel better whined. The only thing I could think of after the interview is that I would be making more money and could buy more firm tapes. have a great day everyone.

Hi Firmies-
Tonight it was Cardio Sculpt with Allie- and it really kicked my butt, probably from the Ab Sculpt yesterday. I really felt it when I laid my stomach on the fannie lifter for the arm work. But I managed to get thru all of it. I am getting a little better with the cardio footwork.:sunny:
Tomorrow I'm gonna try something different on the treadmill I read about tonight in a fitness magazine. More of an interval workout warm up 3 minutes- go as fast as you can for 1 minute- back to 3 minutes moderate pace. I've read before that is supposed to increase the fat burning- I'll let you know how it works out. ::yes::
s&k'smom- Hope the interview went well. All I could think of after reading your post was you standing on a street corner somewhere with a sign "Will Work For Firm Tapes" :teeth:
FIRMIES!
As promised, it was Lower Body Sculpt I w/ Lisa Kay. This was my first try at this workout. I actually "cracked the security seal" on the DVD last night, for a preview. Because I've done so many different FIRM Lower Body workouts, there wasn't too many new moves in this workout, so I was able to get thru it pretty easily on my first try. Since it's a "30 min." workout, it will probably become a standard for during the workweek. I'll think I'll try the companion DVD, Body Sculpt Blaster, tomorrow.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Morning, today was cardio sculpt with Allie. Boy it felt good to workout after eating chips yesterday. But I was so PMSing that the chips made me feel better. This weekend will be hard as my sister is coming home and I'm sure there will be lots of cookouts and dinners. Have a great day.

I decided to purchase a DVD or two of THE FIRM . I went to amazon.com and there are 36 different choices !! I don't know which one!!
Can anyone suggest....I am new to excercise and have and interest in mostly shaping ( getting rid of) the rear end!! As well as the "waving" under the arms....
Any suggestions.
Would the Firm Body sculpting system be the way to go since I would have a few choices??
I have a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com so I figured I 'd use it on improving My Figure!!
Thanks for any advice!

panfan - I'm glad you were able to make your way over to our thread! You probably think I'm stalking you but I honestly am not! :hyper:
Unless you have some type of stepper already at home, I would recommend purchasing the system with the fanny lifter. I'm not sure what the other ladies will think or if they agree with me. If you buy body sculpting system 1 you get cardio, ab and body sculpting work outs. I believe there is a similar set with body sculpting system 2 but that one seemed kind of advanced to me. In addition to the ones that came with system 1, I have purchased calorie killer (that might be a good one for you because it has a lot of leg presses which work those thighs and buns) and super body sculpt which has an entire segment devoted to the booty and lower body area. For the flapping under arm area, the body sculpting work outs are great - I have body sculpt from system 1 and super body sculpt as well.
I know there are more experienced Firmies than me on this thread so I'll defer any other opinions to them.
I hope you join us Firming soon!

Welcome Panfan-
I'm not one of the experienced ones- I'm pretty new to Firm myself, but I agree with ZerasPride. I started with Calorie Killer and another one from the 2nd series- with a low stepper from another workout. When I got the set - I found out the Fanny Lifter made a lot of difference to the intensity of the workout for me. You can use the lower height at first - that's what I did until I got used to some of the steps. Personally- I'm glad I went ahead and got the set. You can also pick up single VHS & DVD's at Kmart, Walmart & Target- maybe other places too. I'm sure some of the other Firmies will be glad to chime in soon.:teeth:
I tried the intervals on the treadmill tonight- it was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. :earseek: I wanted to do 7 but could only do 6 times. I did complete my entire time-hope I burned up lots of calories! Back to Firm for tomorrow!::yes::

I'm not real experienced with this yet, but I must agree with Lisa (zeraspride). Oh yeah, I'm not stalking you either :teeth: At first I didn't want to purchase the fanny lifter, but I am glad I did. I tried it a year ago, but didn't really get into it. Now I am really loving it. I like the 2 system better than the one. I think that what you want to do, the 2 would be better. Some good cardio, lot's of leg work and good arms too. You could always purchase just a video for legs and just one for the lower body and alternate them for the results that you want. Also as you get better, you can up your weights for a different workout.
Sheree'
FIRMIES!
I did Body Sculpt Blaster w/ Nancy. I had a near miss when one of my 7 lb. weights slipped out-of-my-hand when I was placing it on my shoulder to do squats. It JUST missed my foot when it hit the floor, making such a noise that I'm surprised it didn't wake DSs. Despite my pounding heart, I recovered my weight & continued my workout...'cause that's what FIRMIES do.
Panfan,
FIRM workouts are divided into three categories: Cardio (C), Cardio and Sculpt (C+S) and Sculpt (S). I started with sculpting tapes, which I found easier to master (little or no "fancy" footwork) and you really see results, esp. in your fanny & arms. I've actually gotten used to people (mostly women!) commenting on my fanny & arms!
I agree w/ ZerasPride on BSS2 (Cardio Sculpt, Body Sculpt & Ab Sculpt) as a good starter. Body Sculpt can be broken into two segments: Upper & Lower Body. Ab Sculpt uses no weights, but concentrates on your stomach/abs.
Another good starter is the "old" Firm Parts 4 pk. which has "Upper Body" "Standing Legs" "Tough Tape 2" and "5-Day Abs". They are all sculpting tapes & these are the tapes that I started with. "Standing Legs" is the only tough one in this foursome. Don't rush out & buy alot of tapes. You are wise to think carefully and seek advice on your first purchases. This is a good group to use as a sounding board. Then I suggest getting 2-3 tapes & trying to master at least 1 or 2 before adding to your collection. Good luck. We'll try to give you all the support you want.
Weekend is here! Funny how I associate weekends with doing longer FIRM tapes!
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Good morning and happy Firming all!
I did super body sculpt (upper and lower body portions) with Stephanie Corley this morning. It was a great work out and my thighs are still like jello from all those leg presses!
sue - you are a true Firm warrior princess:! What a close call but I'm glad you're alright.
panfan - you've gotten some great advice. We know you'll be as addicted to Firm work outs as the rest of us. Maybe there is a subliminal message being transmitted through the videos! :space:
gadizlover - great job on the treadmill! I'm sure you assassinated lots of calories (as Nancy "eat a burger" says in calorie killer).
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

Thanks everyone.....A LOT !!!
I was going to order online but didn't want to wait. I went to Target today and got the Firm Body Sclupting System with three tapes and the fanny lifter. It was the last one on the shelf!!
I probably will not start till Monday on those. I have my restaurant to tend to this weekend as the weekends are our busiest times so I'm not home much from friday morning on throughout the weekend. I might end up doing one sunday after work though we'll see. The good news about work is that I'm in a complete "stress mode" most of the time and moving around very quickly....don't get to sit down much at all ( except to go potty...lol )
So I'm not really part of the Firm Club yet but hope to be soon:)
Thanks again for the advice!

It was Cardio Sculpt with Allie. All I can say is WOW ! I know what you guys have been so excited about ! It was a great workout. I was surprised that I actually got through most of it. Pooped out on the Ab section though. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do all those reps! If I am able to stick with this....I should well on my way to lookin' good!
I'm kinda nervous about waking up tomorrow though. It is the busiest day of the week for me at work and I'll be on my feet for 8-9hours strait. I hope I can walk...lol...!

Wasn't able to post last night- Did Body Sculpt with Jen for the 1st time. Lower body was hard- I am gonna have to stick to the blue box only for awhile I think. Upper body was much easier.
I see what you mean Lisa about Jen not being one of your fav instructors- she's not quite as "motivating" as some of the others.
Today was supposed to be a rest day- we went to Alabama to SIL & BIL's lake house- but went on a 2 mile walk with some steeeep hills- so got my cardio in after all.

I've already done the Body Sculpt Blaster today. I would have done a longer workout but I already did an interval training class today at the gym at work.
I didn't receive my 6 dvds that are supposed to come with my set (Complete Aerobic & Weight training, total sculpt, maximum cardio burn, firm abs, upper body sculpt, and calorie killer). I called customer service & she said that I will be getting those dvds separately. I can't wait to get those.
