We are going to be at IOA and US in December. I am reading about all the rides that get you soaked. Since the temp can be quite cool do any of the rides hand out rain ponchos? What can be done to keep dry besides not going on the rides? Hate to be walking around in the cold with wet clothes all day!! Any suggestions?:)

I dont think they hand out ponchos for free, but always available for purchase...
But in Disney at the Kali Ride in December, they had a huge HOT fan blowing at the exit of the ride for the riders to stand in front of...
Does Universal do this as well?

Ponchos should protect you on Dudley Do-Right and Jurassic Park well enough ... just avoid Bilge Rat Barges ... that ride is all about getting wet, and if you don't want to get wet it won't be a lot of fun at all ...

They will hand you a poncho at the merchandise cart if you hand them $. :)

When boarding Popeye, you have to ask yourself: "Would putting on a poncho before jumping in the pool really help?" Probably not! I believe last winter they did have heat fans set up.

I have to say that last December I did all the water rides (including Popeye) w/o a poncho and was fine. Although that was last Dec. and who knows what the temp. will be like this Dec.

You're better off bringing a change of clothing/footwear and renting one of the lockers at the front of the park. They are $5/day, $2 is refunded when you return the key.
