I booked my stay for may 05 at Royal Pacific

I just got off the phone with loews and was able to book my stay for the royal pacific. There aren't any codes out yet though. As it stands right now I have a rate of 219 a night plus tax for May 26-30 of May 05. She said codes were not out yet but when they become available I can call and adjust my rate. Being these dates are memorial weekend it makes me feel at ease to know I will have a room available for the dates I want. As soon as, entertainment rates , AAA rates , or Annual rates are available I am going to get my current rate lowered.

This past trip by doing the same thing I saved over 90 dollars a night.

Congrats! Just keep your eyes open. Discounts will open up. Maybe not for all your dates since it's over a holiday, but for some.

How did you do that? I just got off the phone with Loews Hotels and they would not give me a reservation for January 05.

I was wondering the same thing. I spoke with Loews Hotels this morning to try and book for February '05 (Presidents' Week). I was told that the rooms are "loaded", but cannot be booked yet. She said to call everyday because it should be soon.

1800loews23 It took them a few minutes to come back and confirm that I had a reservation. I have a confirmation number and everything.

When i called the number above they gave me the rate of 219 a night plus tax for the royal pacific. She said when the discounted rates were available I could call back and get a rate change. I also told them I am a gold member. I don't know if that made any difference or not though.


Long story short. call 1800loews23. check to see if they have your dates loaded in the system.


PS. I just got my loews gold card today in the mail.

i was just able to get rates for March 2005, a little high at 264 but hoping i can get them down. so 2005 rates are out when you call loews, i call 1800bea star and they have no rates yet

I called 1-800-23-loews about two hours ago. They would not let me book a room for February, 2005. I am Loews Gold.

Why the different stories to do you think? I called last night too and was told the same thing. Can't book yet, but soon.

I called again. I was able to book a King Suite for Presidents' Week at the rate of $349 (YIKES). At this point, no discount can be applied. (I don't have high hopes that I will ever be able to apply a discount to this rate, since I did the same thing this year and couldn't apply any discount. I paid $299 this year, so it's gone up $50 per night).

Anyway, looks like the 2005 rates are out.

Update - I called back and canceled the King Suite at RPR and booked a Deluxe Room at Portofino Bay for $294 (I was able to get a free upgrade to the Deluxe Room - the regular price of the Deluxe Room was $334 and they gave it to me for $294 because I am Loews Gold.) Made the change because we've stayed at RPR the last couple of times and would like to go back to Portofino to change it up a bit.

Does a ressie over the phone require a deposit? I am thinking of booking now. Just unsure. Thinking if everyone books now, they won't see any need to offer good discounts at a later date. They will think, hmmm, people are reserving at rack rate--they are willing to pay....

ok...I chickened out on waiting. I just got off the phone with a VERY nice guy--I reserved at RPR for 2/21-2/26 for $234/night. He was very helpful and encouraged me to check back in late Sept. for discount codes that will eventually come out.

Now I am excited:bounce: ...another step in my planning done!! Now if only SWA would come out with 05 dates/prices...

I just called back and booked the HRH for 25-28 Jan 05 at $229.00 per night. Guess its all in who you talk to. I was told to keep calling back for possibly lower rates. Thanks for all your info!
