Just got back on Sunday from Orlando and I totally loved Universal especially the FOTL experience. Made the mistake of going to WDW after Universal (will never do this again since Universal spoiled me.) Well my question is I stayed at the PBH, I loved the hotel and the service was excellent but it just seemed that this hotel didn't cater to kids. My son received a bucket full of snacks and a shovel at check in but there was nothing else. There were no activties nor games planned.
I am planning to go again during Christmas and planning to stay at the Hard Rock. Is this hotel more kid friendly? Do they have any activities planned for the kids? Thanks!!!

IMHO- HRH is more teen and pre-teen oriented. At PBH I asked for kids activities and they gave me a sheet of activities and most were off site. RPR seems to have more tikes as guests.

We stayed one night at PBH and it did not feel very kid friendly either, although they loved the pool. I think it is just because it looked so nice, I was afraid they would ruin things or bother people. We stayed at Hard Rock and they were so friendly to the kids. They gave them each a goody bag and a toy at turndown each night. Everyone was saying hello to them in the hallway including the maintainance men and housekeeping and managers. They did not have any activities for kids, but we did not need them. They loved the pool area and the only other thing we did there was shower. The lifeguards are nice little eye candy for mom, too. This time we are staying at RP, so I will be able to compare them all.

RP had several kiddie activities at the pool when we were there. However, my kids loved HRH and the pool slide! I think either are very kid friendly.
