Traffic and Travel Times between Universal and WDW

Our family is considering staying at the Royal Pacific the last week of Sept. I was wondering what the traffic is like in the morning traveling from Univeral to WDW in the morning. We try to get to the WDW parks just as they open. So...

1. how many miles is it between Universal and WDW?
2. how busy is the traffic in the AM?
3. how much time is it likely to take to travel from Universal to WDW?

I don't do the driving on vacation my husband does, but it really is not a bad ride between the parks...Not sure exactly how many miles but I would say the ride is 15 minutes or so? You just get on I-4 for a couple of exits, maybe 3 or 4. I don't ever remember having problems with traffic and we've stayed at Royal Pacific and traveled to WDW and vice versa.
