Alex will be turning 2 while we are in Disney. Where would be a good place to take him for his B-Day dinner? There will be 9 of us all together.

Thanks!

I think I would do Garden Grille. Great atmosphere with the rotating restaurant and the character interaction is great. If you aren't staying long and don't want to waste time in Epcot with two little ones, then you could do Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace (Pooh characters) or Liberty Tree Tavern. But my favorite is Garden Grille. I have a DD4 and DS2. When we were there in December, my DS was 22 months old, Garden Grille was his absolute favorite character meal. We did every character dinner offered except Chef Mickey's. Chef Mickey's evidently has good character interaction but the food is just so-so. The food at Garden Grille is excellent and the kids get a pot of dirt with worms for dessert that is a huge hit. (Ice cream with oreo cookie crumbs and gummy worms). I'd go Garden Grille --this trip we aren't going to spend much time in Epcot, but we will go to Garden Grille for dinner and walk around the World once before enjoying Illuminations.

My son is turning 2 right before we get to WDW and we're celebrating his birthday there.:bounce: :bounce:

We are doing a Whispering Canyon dinner our first night, a CP breakfast and a Garden Grille Ice Cream Social. I'm not sure which one we will make for DS celebration.

BTW, I find Epcot's WS to be a great place for toddlers--Kidcot stations and lots of room to run around and explore. Plus it's a nice break from the theme park atmosphere and more relaxed.

DD is turning 2 during our vacation this year. For the special day, We are doing Crystal Palace for breakfast, Whispering Canyon for Lunch, then Giordano's (offsite) for dinner, for 13 people. We are also doing Garden Grill and Donald's Breakfastasauraus during the vacation.
We did Chef Mickey's last year and it was very noisy and too much stuff going on. Way too much for 1 yr old.
Garden Grill or Crystal Palace would be great your little one.

I'd say WhisperingCanyon, or maybe if he "gets along" with characters, maybe Crystal Palace.

Have a lovely day, wherever you decide.

She loved all the ones we went to last year, so we made the same ressies for this Sept. We are going 9/10-9/20, and her birthday is 9/30. We did CM dinner, CP lunch, CRT and PSB breakfast, and Cindy dinner at GF. The only one we will skip is Cindy's dinner, even though it was really wonderful. We just figured that since we got the castle again, we would have our fill of Cinderella there. Each place treated DD1 special for her birthday, whether it was a card signed by the characters, a pretty certificate, or a special cookie!

I would recommend Chef Mickey's. We were there in May with a 2 1/2 yr old and 13 month old. They both loved it. Minnie picked up the 13 month old and carried her around and the little just ate it up. We had a 6:15 ps and the food was fresh and very good. The year before we went to the Garden Grill and even though the food was good, we had a problem. There were 8 of us and we had a 6:45 ressie that was supposed to be all at one table. They had some tables that were slow in turning over so they put us at two separate tables. We said no, we wanted to all sit together. By the time we were seated, Mickey was already gone and we never got to see him. The only characted we saw was Chip. Since there are nine of you, I would hate to see the same thing that happened to us happen to you. If you do decide to go there, I would recommend going earlier that we did.

I would suggest a character dinner. We really liked Chef Mickey's and Liberty Tree Tavern.

We celebrated DS's 3rd birthday at CP. We did the first lunch available so noone was too cranky! The character interaction was great. He had been very shy with the characters in the parks but after this party he started looking for them! We all loved the food and I thought the service was great too. I had brought Pooh party hats with me but if you decide to do CM or GG you could get Mickey hats-it really adds to the party atmosphere.

I was going to suggest the Crystal Palace for the Pooh "guys". We did breakfast there several years ago...it was very good!
