Celebrities you have seen??

I thought it would be interesting to hear what celebs you have seen while at Disney World..And not in parades.. Just walking around like normal folks (if that is possible!). Ha ha

I have only seen one and that was Nancy Kerrigan (sp?) soon after the Olympics. She was riding Jungle Cruise.

We saw Wayne Brady last December.... I guess he was there for the filming of the Christmas Parade. Regardless, we walked right by him!!!!!

Oprah was jogging by the Wilderness Lodge, Gail on a bike and of course a half dozen escorts................They waved to us :D

We saw Howie Mandell & Tom Cruise 10 or 12 years ago I think it was it was a long time back now at Pleasure Island.
It was soon after they had opened maybe the first couple of years.
We heard all this screaming and looked behind us and Howie & Tom were about 4 feet from us trying to get away from the crowd of screaming girls mostly..
I think we spent the rest of the night at the Adventure's Club. It was great back then...

Wayne Brady walked by us at MGM near Ariel show and the a couple of days later he was the narraitor at CP at Epcot.

The wiggles walked right by us at MK behind the Castle. We said we loved them and they waved and of course I took quick picture before they were gone.

Other then that I saw Regis' wife, Joy, getting out of the GF elevator and I saw Regis and Kelly at MK for the Xmas parade tapping.

My mom swears she saw Chelsea Clinton and her boyfriend walking down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom when we were there in May. I didn't see her though.

Two years ago Kobe Bryant and then pregnant wife walked right by DH and I. They said hi we said hi back and kept on walking!

A couple of day before that we saw Robert Horry his wife and children while we were standing at the well beside the Castle in the MK. They also said hi to us.

Later on in the week we ran into Brian Grant of the Miami Heat in the lobby of the Coronado Springs.

I guess NBA player have fun at DW too!!

Penn and Teller in 95 while they were taping some special. Didn't know who they were at the time.

We met Steven Tyler of Aerosmith on the Boardwalk. He was very nice. He took a photo with my niece and gave her an autograph. Pretty cool!!

Art Linkletter at the Disneyland Hotel Concierge Lounge in 2002. I know not WDW but at leat DL. He just came by and said hi to my 2yr DD. As my wife and I where getting treats for her. My DD must be one for the celebrities. In Feb. we took her to the Y for Swim classes and on the way out she had to get a drink. So she went running for the water cooler. We caught up to her there and Carrotop was helping her get a drink. He was in town for a show that night. Man is he short.

We saw Eddie Murphy and his family at MK last year in August. They were riding the Jungle Cruise. They were let on at the handicapped entrance and waved to everyone when they passed in their boat.

June 2002 Joey Fatone (insync) in line for POC singing a pirates life for me.
April 2003 Michael (the guy who fell in the fire on Survivor) Getting off Dinosaur. I think they held the ride up for him It took us about 35 min to get on when the wait line said 10Min. If this is the case boo on wanna be celebrities.

- Michael Jackson and one of his child "friends" riding Peter Pan @ MK. They closed the ride to the public for him to ride several times.

- Prince Ramaydan of Saudi Arabia @ Swan

Saw the Wiggles at Mk one december. They passed right by and I said to DH, "I swear that was the Wiggles." He just looked at me like I was nuts, but then later we found out they were there for the taping of the Christmas parade.

Also, when I was little we went to DL a lot as we lived close by. One day we saw a guy who looked EXACTLY like Luke from General Hospital. He was wearing a T shirt that said, "NO, I am NOT Luke." My mother swears to this day that it was him and he just wore that shrit to throw people off!

I saw Kevin Bacon at the Animal Kingdom in 1999 or 2000. I aways joke to my husband now that he is only 2 degrees separated. . ..but, then he told me he dated one of Kyra Sedgewick's cousins...so, he's only 3 degrees separated! LOL1

We saw Bernadette Peters while dining at the restaurant on the water at "red roof inn" (That is the Grand Floridian).

Also that same night we saw Geraldo Rivera (I thought he was hiding in some foxhole in Bahgdad, but he was at WDW).

I travel in and out of MCO (Orlando Intl) and have been on flights with Jullianne Moore and her young son, Ari Flescher (Pres Busch's Press Secretary).

Harry Hamlin was in line behind us at the Adventureland Dole Whip stand,
Saw Kerri Strugg getting into a van outside of World of Disney in Marketplace,
and if this counts....saw my favorite Disney Channel Mouseketteer (Tiffany) in the recording studio durring the old studio tour at MGM.

I saw Dustin Hoffman when he was there for the premier of Dick Tracy years ago. He was there with his two kids. He had one kid on his shoulders and his bodyguard had his other kid on his shoulders.

I also saw Hal Sutton once when he was there during the (formerly) Oldsmobile classic.

Not at WDW, but at Disneyland, last year we saw Patrick Laborteaux from the TV show "JAG" in a store in Frontierland. He was with family and we didn't want to interrupt, so we admired from afar.

I ran into Harry Anderson from Night Court about 13 years ago. I happened to have my Leaving Book (autograph book for International Program Cast Members) with me and he signed it.
Wayne Gretzky and wife Janet walked past when I was working one day. (also 13 years ago).
I think that is all for my actual sightings but I know friends who ran into U2 at Pleasure Island.

We saw Joel Siegel (movie reviewer) and Family one year in MK.
Also the big WWF wrestler guy , I forget his name- dark brown bushy hair & missing a tooth - very nice guy, he was there with his family in MK
And we saw the imagineer designer of AK, he had the crazy contraption earrings on - he was walking thru AK.

I saw Nicholas Cage at Disneyland (by himself, though with a park escort) this past Thanksgiving. I was walking right next to him when my sister said quite loudly that he was walking by me!

1992- Asley and Mary Kate Olson at the yacht and Beach club, also in the hot tub with us.

same trip- Johhny Bench in the lobby of Beach Club. Joe DiMaggio ,we were in the elevator with him and an escort. My friend and I were coming up from the pool and we looked like drowned rats {lol} and she whispers over to me " did you know he was married to Marilyn Monroe?" She spoke to him I just wanted off the elevator!

We also saw Bryant Gumble and Joel Seigel the movie critic. And when we went to Beaches and Cream the whole staff of Full house were in there. This was all on my very first trip to Disney world ever. That is why I am hooked! :wave:

i saw owen wilson and ben stiller at the uk premier of the starsky and hutch film. it was really cool. i also saw h from steps in london (he was a pop star here). no one famous at wdw though as i have never been before.

While staying at the Boardwalk, in 2000, we saw Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown at the pool with their daughter. My son had accidentally bumped into Bobby Brown before we knew they were there and he was very gracious about the collision. We saw them 2 other times during our stay and found out that they were staying in the garden cottages at the Boardwalk

Here's another for Bernie Kosar - saw him inside the Beach Club lobby and later on, by chance, we were standing right behind him and his family at Beaches and Cream waiting to be seated...after he was seated, i asked the CM if that was Bernie Kosar and he replied ' i cannot really say, but that would be a really good guess' - no-one bothered him which was nice to see, but he did get special attentiion from the CM's --


Saw Mariah Carey outside at Gaspirillas Grill at the Floridian - she was with 3 or 4 men from her entourage..we were sitting a few tables away and my wife wanted to go up to her but i convinced her to just let her enjoy her peace and quiet as no-one was bothering her either...

Saw Brian Dennehy in the Beach Club lobby - he was scheduled that week as speaker for the Candlelight Processional..

Not IN the park but on the way to Disney World 3 years ago we were buying magazines at the airport and I looked up at a man online and said to my husband "Hey, doesn't that guy look like Tony Benett?" My husband shot me this look and said "That IS Tony Benett"

I literally ran into a then pregnant Kelly Ripa at Epcot. She was coming in the exit to Spaceship Earth to get on the ride.

Same trip we also ran into Phil Collins at Wilderness lodge, he was there to tape a special about Brother Bear.
